Haha of course I expect them to screw it up. But the dreamer in me still hopes that this’ll be the time where everything comes together and we have a just in time implementation of a revolutionary new process that saves everyone a ton of unnecessary work. By immediately, do you mean to hint that the next O-5 board could see this new PRF? PRFs are due already in Jan, so most are already spinning up the processes. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

My guess is that person was a 3rd look in-res schoolboy. That’ll get you a P from the MLR, but if he’s currently in school he can be selected on the assumption of PME completion upon graduating Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

Because they changed the monthly quotas not long ago to drag last year's line numbers into October. Was 123 per month through Jun and was projected to finish out in September. 123 x 3 = 369. 92 x 3 + 93 = 369. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

Not surprised. This is now taking money directly out of people's pockets. First increments for this board's selectees already pushed from 1 Oct to 1 Nov. Won't be surprised if this delay pushes it further back to 1 Dec. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

Standard- What's wrong with the Air Force?
Why put that positive article about Sq level initiative and improving QOL and Mission simultaneously in the “What’s wrong with the Air Force?” thread?- Promotion and PRF Information
So, results in December?- ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
I saw something interesting in that Crisis Task Force NOTAM that went out today. It said something about being eligible to apply for VRRAD while still on AD with an approved retirement date in the system. Seems like a loophole that can be leveraged if you want to stay AD but want to be immune from certain BS.- ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
Or a non-vol 365 that requires an in house requal... So many possible reasons to raise the BS flag on this one In any event, my requal started before the effective date on the new reg so... doesn’t effect me either way. Still I’ll be very surprised if they start nabbing dudes for 3 years for these CC directed requals. I still think it’ll ultimately work out on the side of common sense. And a CC sending a dude down to the MPF to sign a form 63 for his X-ride requal program doesn’t pass the sniff check.- ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
Thanks for posting that. So they are waiting on the answer for the CC directed, in-house requals...- ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
Says who?- ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
You guys are crazy. No way you get an ADSC for in-house, CC directed requals. AFPC can’t even track that level of training. I’m pretty sure the reg is referring to formal ETCA courses that are conducted in the unit.- ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
Well I specifically read it as an in-unit course (ie formal course that is conducted in-unit). I’d be very surprised if AFPC tags every CC directed requal for ADSC. I know my requal (which is currently under way, in-unit, CC directed) is not gonna get me an ADSC. And it sucks but isn’t surprising I guess that the C-17 sends folks back to Altus for requal. That’ll definitely get you an ADSC.- ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
I’d think this only applies to formal requal courses. Should be able to do CC directed requal for that case, which shouldn’t incur the ADSC as there’s no paper trail with AFPC- Fly-Only Track in AMC
Agree with Smokin 100%. Been saying this for years. We don’t want the guys who would self-nominate for a “leadership” track to become the leaders. Those are usually the last guys the bros want to be in charge. The thing that needs to change is what the promotion boards look for. For this to happen we need a separate rated only promotion board.- What's wrong with the Air Force?
“Sir, I’m sorry your bombs/gas/cargo/recce took so long, but we are understaffed.” What a lame excuse. We’re still in the military and still subject to an unlimited liability clause.- Fly-Only Track in AMC
Yet another half-measure “solution “. This generation of leaders needs to realize that their instincts on what might get people to stay are all wrong. At least then they have a starting point on what not to do. If you’ve got stars on your lapel and you think you have a good idea about how to tackle the issue, just assume it’s between 90 and 180 out from the real answer. Then go ask a Major who’s actively flying the line at a Squadron. And resist the urge to either inject your own modifications to his ideas. Also resist the urge to inject staff weenie ideas into the solution.- Fly-Only Track in AMC
The ADSC to 20 is a non-starter. Nobody has enough faith in the system to take this “deal” along with a 6-9 year commitment. F That Noise.- Elon Musk & Tesla EVs
WTF Harley. Nobody wants to see that picture on the feed every time you log in. Huge foul.- Promotion and PRF Information
Hopefully you meant to say he’s working on getting his seniority number (at the Majors) and not his AF line number. Because F that noise. - ?s on ADSC (Active Duty Service Commitment)
