Let's be honest with ourselves dudes. Neither of them is all that hard. We're talking about a year's worth of training to be able to takeoff, land, and navigate to and from an airspace or another airport safely. C'mon. At the time I definitely thought it was stressful...and then I went through some CAF upgrades. It's not. Who cares if you're asking the dude next to you to change your radio frequency in the t-1 or if you're trying to figure out what "tactical formation is" while flying 0.7s in the T-38. It's just not that hard to finish either track.

This would be the only reason that the -38 makes any sense.

I'm digging the 1911 things.......so I decided to build my own. Still waiting on a couple parts to fix what I fucked up but thought I'd share. ETA: Finished, probably could have done a better job stripping my first bluing attempt off. I think that's what caused the splotches in the second picture. The rust bluing was such a pain in the ass that I'm gonna call it good enough for my first build. Time to start plotting my second, gonna be a bobtail commander I think.

If people/groups want to pay him $15K to speak, who can blame him for charging/taking it?--he's no longer in the military. Now if he would turn down speaking to let's say, a civil air patrol function because they couldn't pay him, then I agree that's showing some poor class. In the end, it's his story, and as long as he's not divulging classified info or straight up lying/hurting people, then who cares? I wouldn't pay to hear him speak but that's just me. People in the know are aware of his story and his mistakes/buffoonery...in the end, the guy still did what over 90% of the country never has done or will do. In today's society/culture, there are a lot more things fvcking up this country than Scott O'Grady.

Someone with a brain? Although T-38s are considered the easier program these days, or at least have a lower hook and washout rate.
