This is my big problem with the SARC program. I'm not saying we should blame the victims, but maybe a little education about risk vs. reward of specific situations may help. All we do now is wait for it to happen and then swoop in and give hugs... Example: One single female goes out to drink with a man she doesn't know all alone. She leaves her drink unattended and consumes enough to make her stumbling drunk. Legal? Sure Should she have the right to not be raped? Absolutely Is this a setup to a compromising situation? You know it We can't say this though because someone might take it as victim blaming. It's not. It's similar to why I wear a seatbelt. I should be able to assume that I won't get t-boned by some texting teenager, but I know the possibility is out there and high enough for me to warrant a safety restraint.

So this is where you begin the mature, spirited debate? I grew up outside Washington DC and feigned interest in the Skins growing up. Even though most "fans no dick all about football in general and "their" team in specific, it's the popular thing to do. When I went to college I identified with the team, went to classes with the players, got obliterated tailgating, and watched them win a National Championship. Some of the best memories of my entire life revolve around my 4 & 1/2 years there drinking booze, chasing tail, and watching football. I have no such experiences with any professional team. And by the way, I think you'd really like DC - it's full of self-righteous assholes like you who think being born in proximity to New York or LA increases your worth as a human being.

There is so much wrong with your attitude as an instructor it's hard to find a starting point. Yelling at a student for no other reason than to try to knock them off the rails is self serving at best, and directly detrimental to their learning at worst. We spend a lot of time in phase 3 trying to un-fuck these kids' heads because they're so wound up from downright poor instruction in phase 2 that they are incapable of constructive learning. Honestly, what does yelling at a student accomplish? This tactic seems to be invariably used by bitter FAIPs who have nothing to offer other than to try to pass on their own self-imposed misery of being FAIPed and try to make UPT as miserable as they can for students.

At least this time around they can film it in actual modern-day Detroit & get the bombed-out shithole look on the cheap!
