I'm currently on a 240 day PCS order set that consists of MPA days. I've been told I'm entitled to a PCS move which I thought was fantastic since I am moving next month and started the paperwork for the local PCS move. However, the lady that is processing the paperwork told me I am not eligible since my orders don't have Household Goods accounting line on them. Do I have any recourse or am I pretty much SOL? Thanks!!

A little tidbit of information that’s not really well known. A waiver has been passed that allows afsc 18s to fly as a mission system officer on the RC-26. Mostly meant for the two bases where rpa and the RC26s are co-located, but might work elsewhere. I️ thought I’d drop that little nugget here. Cheers!

I am considering joining the Air National Guard as an E3. I read somewhere that "If you have dependents, an apartment or mortgage before enlisting you will receive base housing allowance pay." I have a mortgage with no dependents and I'm single. Is this correct and would this apply for guard units while being months in BMT and tech school? I live in a US territory would that be considered OHA? Found this calculator but not sure if it applies to me. If so, would I be entitled to the max "OHA Rental Allowance"? What about "Utility/Recurring Maintenance Allowance"?

I’m curious if anyone has experience and/or advice for my situation. I’m a former 13B left AD in 2012. Transitioned to IRR and after establishing civilian career, attempted to join ALO unit as Cat E reservist. During the enrollment process I crossed 2 years in the IRR and was unexpectedly discharged. Fast forward a couple years later, I’m looking to rejoin the Reserve to finish my 20. I understand the administrative process to get me back in is going to take a year or more, but looking beyond that I’m trying to get a feel for how I should approach prospective units to get hired with a sizable break in service. I work/live close to MacDill so I’m looking there. Any guidanc…
