    Started by Guest ToiletDuck,

Hi guys I'm wanting to get in with the 147th Fighter Wing to fly F-16's or F-15's because they are located closer to my home area and it would work out very well. I'm trying to get an application together for me and could use a little help on that as well. I'll be reading through all the helpful guides up front tonight. Anyway I don't have much flight time. I only have around 1300hrs with 100hrs multi and the rest of the part 135IFR requirements. Both units have openings so I was wondering if any of you were part of them and could give me some insight. Would recomendations from any Lt. Col's here at the Laughlin AFB make a difference? That's about as high up the chain …

Does anybody have any info on the SLC unit? Have they finished the conversion to the R model? Is bumming a possibility?

Baseops Warriors, Search function did not yield what I was looking for. Part of my exit strategy involves joining a Guard/Reserve unit in New England. My first choice is the 157th. I can get out in Oct 2018. Looking for any info on the potential for a non-135 guy (B-1/T-38) to get picked up with them. I understand that they are first to get the KC-46 and I don't know if that would help or hurt my chances. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Cheers, Planephlyer

Anyone have any info on the 158th? I know they just had a board last year. Any rumors on how often they hold UPT boards? I love the area and obviously the airframe is a plus too. I've tried to contact them via their website but haven't gotten a response. Any help contacting them would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks.

  8. Started by Foogoo,

Hi everyone, is anyone by chance either with the 163d at March ARB or knows how things are done there? They have RPA Pilot vacancies listed on the website but there's no hiring/application information as to whether they are taking applicants from the street or only qualified pilots. Calls and emails to both the recruiters and unit commander have gone unanswered. Thanks for any information.

I'm a prior service active duty U.S. Army Aviation CPT RC-12/C-12 driver and current part-time Army National Guard CW2 C-12 IP/IFE/MTP. I fly ISR King Airs as a DoD Contractor overseas on a 60 on/60 off rotating schedule for my full time job and live in Vermont. Looking to cross over into the Blue to get my commission back and finish up the remainder of my military drilling career in the ANG. If possible, I'd like to chat with someone in the know about the 152nd AOG or flying MQ-9 RPAs in the 174th Attack Wing (NYANG). I have lots of prior CAOC, LNO, staff officer and overseas ISR piloting experience. I've tried both e-mailing and calling an ANG recruiter, but haven'…

Herk Operators, Since the baseops job board seems to have s- itself recently I'll post here. As of Oct 1st 2013, the 189th at LRAFB has been in charge of all C-130 Legacy FTU training in addition to the legacy instructor school. With this expansion we have had a restructuring of our manning document and have created many new DSG positions. Currently we have 11 DSG spots sitting empty. We are looking to hire C-130 IPs, but could entertain getting an AC some upgrade training if he/she we a good dude/dudette. While not guaranteed, most of these new hires could be looking at potential full time employment within a few years. This is also a good environment for an ai…

A little tidbit of information that’s not really well known. A waiver has been passed that allows afsc 18s to fly as a mission system officer on the RC-26. Mostly meant for the two bases where rpa and the RC26s are co-located, but might work elsewhere. I️ thought I’d drop that little nugget here. Cheers!

  20. Started by Chida,

Has anyone tried for a 2 year TIG waiver for reserve retirement recently?

  21. Started by HeyEng,

Way back in 2014 I got an AD retirement after I accumulated 7200 points, I spent most of my time the Reserves but the last two years were in the Guard. The freckled faced SRA who man MPF at most bases these days was not really up on AD retirements and could not answer a lot of questions I and others had on getting an AD retirement. It was at the height of the DTS and Roll-Back fiascos so I was just happy to get a check every month and be on my merry way. A few days ago I got a call from an squadron mate who is still in and will also get an AD retirement, he asked me if he would also get the Reserve retirement after reaching age 60 (or the Roll-Back age). I v…

  22. Started by Velosprints,

Hey all, I'm wondering if there is any info on the 200th Airlift Squadron? I'm currently a tanker pilot out east, but I am interested in moving to Colorado with my family to settle down. I was a maintenance guy with the 140th Maintenance Squadron for 8 years, but left to pursue an aviation career. I have done a bit of reasearch on the internet machine, but can only find fact sheet type stuff on the 200th AS. If there is anyone who is a member of the 200th that could shed some light on hiring/lifestyle/ops tempo etc I would be very grateful! Cheers, Velo

I know the board is still quite a few months away, but I am curious if anyone can shed some advice on this for me. I have been told that the boards are continually getting more and more competitive so I am wondering if anyone could give me an idea of my chances. I do plan on taking the AFOQT again, but was curious about what scores they focus on.....ex: just pilot or all together? When I do increase the verbal (yes, I know it was pretty low... guess I should have focused on those besides Aviation) will it raise the others? I also, plan on taking the PCSM again after the AFOQT. GPA 3.64 Pilot 90 Nav 50 Verb 13 AA 30 Quan 52 PCSM 67 Age 27, female, BS in Aviat…
