Anyone know whether they're still PCSing the occasional guy to Shepard after track select?

These terms are relative. It's been about 5-6 tracks and there hasn't been talk of it again. The track select sheets don't have it as an option anymore

Join spouse FAIPS is probably more common than horse trading between bases.

On a slightly different note, how often do they run IFF out of Sheppard? Not too long ago I was reading about how backed up it was. So the folks with fighters from this last drop will they be in IFF with people who dropped from January or is it even worst than that?

At Columbus an IFF class starts every month, I assume it's the same for Randolph and Sheppard.

They only guys I know who waited more than a month to start IFF had pretty far out B course dates.

Thanks Rooster. There are so many moving pieces out there and it is hard to tell what is going on here.

Sheppard has its own IFF squadron. The squadron is not backed up per se, they have a timeline just like other IFF units and are obliged to stay on the timeline. The larger issue is the pipeline as a whole and the choke point is generally the FTUs. Guys graduating UPT on a fighter track in the same class may have IFF classes that are months apart, and guys graduating from Sheppard might end up going to Randolph while Columbus guys come to Sheppard. It's all about aligning the dates to their FTUs, not necessarily finishing on a first come basis.

Not when I did it, I was in white jet pergatory for  4.5 years and we only horse traded for joint FAIP spouse one time.  We traded nearly every drop other than that.
