Tuesday at 03:02 PM2 days So if your class starts with "SV" that is your projected UPT date and the letters on the back end (for example: "LJ") are the first two letters of the base PAS Code which in this case would be Laughlin. Vance would be "VH" and Columbus "CO". Your IPT class will only have the main UPT base attached. Based on some folks in IPT currently, the two locations for Laughlin are Denton, TX and San Marcos, TX. Only way to find that out is when you are in processing/know someone there who can tell you what location is slotted for that date. This is where folks earlier in the thread mentioned taking "strategic" leave prior to IPT if you want a specific location that your primary UPT base sends folks to.
Tuesday at 03:23 PM2 days So I’m currently driving to Columbus to drop off two of my vehicles about a week ahead of my PCS. But the information that I can pass along is that once your dates get loaded anybody in your CSS shop should be able to look at your MILPDS records and see what training you’re loaded for additionally, if you don’t know what base you got you can do the EFMP hack on VMPF essentially what you do is you start a new application and you go all the way to the end make sure you don’t hit submit and you will see your projected assignment and then once you see that just go ahead and remove your EFMP application. Lastly, from what my experience was, you’re gonna get an email from the transition flight at whatever base you’re going to to let you know that you’ve been scheduled for IPT and it will have the location on it. I know there are locations in Orlando Pensacola Atlanta, Denton, Texas, and San Marcos Texas. I don’t know if they’re still using the ones out in Arizona. Sorry for any typos I’m currently driving and using Siri

Tuesday at 04:51 PM2 days I just got the email for a 30 Jun IPT date out of Del Rio that was for Prescott. AFPC guy told me that the location changes all the time though due to AETC doing load management/balancing so to take that with a grain of salt.Sounds like its going to be a cluster until were in the student flights getting ready to go Edited yesterday at 12:08 AM1 day by Shultzy22

The education and training course announcements page (url in the RIP I got) shows "S-V8I-PT" as the course ID for the IPT courses and “P-V4A-B" as the ETCA course IDs for UPT. Yesterday at 03:08 PM1 day As far as I can tell there's no info about what IPT location we'll end up at on vMPF with just training dates and a RIP. The ETCA page for SV8IPT has possible IPT locations listed but no info about which dates/classes go with which location. I called the 71 STUS and they said they won't know which classes students are assigned to until 2-3 classes before the current class starts (i.e., if IPT 27-06 just started, the STUS should have just finished the roster for 27-08 and be finalizing 27-09). Mileage may vary by UPT base on this. I have the IPT class schedule-location roster for Vance (though it only has class numbers, not dates) if anyone wants to shoot me a dm with their DoD email I can teams it.Has anyone else gotten a RIP yet?
Yesterday at 03:38 PM1 day Myself and a couple buddies are all still waiting to hear anything. We sent an email last week and got the same busy response other folks had gotten. Debating when I sent a follow up email like hey it's mid-March...

Just got my RIP as well so trying to figure all the things out
23 hours ago23 hr S-V8I-PT is the AETC course code for the IPT syllabus. P-V4A-B is the same for the new post-IPT T-6 syllabus (other examples being P-V4A-U for the dead 2.5 T-6 syllabus, P-V4A-M being the XPW syllabus, and F-V5A-F being the T-38C GPT syllabus). If you are showing dates for one or the other, those will either be IPT or UPT start dates based on what the course code that's showing is.

6 hours ago6 hr Well if anyone else is still waiting orders and hasn't attended MFS that is probably why. AFPC got back to me and told me I won't get an assignment until MFS complete, even though I went originally as an RPA Pilot a couple years ago. Was tracking this was not the case so this will be a fun bureaucratic mess to clean up.Follow up is if you went to MFS (RPA Pilot) but only got cleared for GBO you WILL have to reattend MFS to get cleared up to FC1. If you got cleared up to FC1 when you went originally it should be VFR direct to your UPT base. Since they sent all the folks to Laughlin short notice MFS is backed up so anyone awaiting an assignment may be in limbo until dates at wright patt become available. 1 hour ago1 hr My buddy who applied to this board but got CSO just got an email that he was offered a fixed-wing pilot slot with a PCS in 2 months and no base. Interesting what's going on with all these people getting slots after the fact
