Don’t take the bonus, go guard…i will bet you $1B 15 years from now you’ll look back and be incredibly happy you went that route.

This.

I was AD all the way (20 years 4 days, Im proud of that extra 4 days baby).  But if you’re healthy and want to live the good life.  I'd recommend Guard plus Airlines.  Those dudes have it dialed in.

Tricare standard is usually FAR superior to any plan an airline offers and will save you about $600/month or more.

Let me guess…Delta? 😂

Can't be Delta, he spelled it airline, and anyone from Delta knows that the correct spelling is Air Line.   There's two words in Air Line. 🤣

I'm 4 years out from being able to go guard/reserve and now having to make the decision earlier due to this supposed "50k" bonus at 3 years out. Sounds like I can get an Active retirement in the guard by just hanging around the unit getting on orders? I've heard some units say they could give me years of orders right now while others say they are hard to come by. I'm a 135 dude for SA

do not make any additional commitment for a bonus. the ability to make money in the airlines will rapidly out earn any "bonus" you take
