Any insight on what happened to the functionality to quote a single post multiple times with ease?

i.e. you used to be able to hit "quote" on a dude's lengthy post, then intersperse your own comments by just using "[ quote ]" and "[ /quote ]" tags (minus the spaces). It enabled you to speak to many points made within one post in a coherent way.

Am I just too dumb to figure out how to to do that in the new-look forums?

I'll try to look at it for a few minutes tonight, leaving for a tdy in the morning. If the commercial airliner has Wi-Fi I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

I see what it is doing, and I'm not sure how to fix it yet. But, it lead me down a path to find a mod that allows people to select lines while reading, right click them and choose "quote" or "@member" (sts), and it will move that specific text to a quote container in the fast reply window. Using "@member" (sts) is similar to a facebook "tag". Considering throwing that mod in on a test basis.

Had the same issue. I did the standard I don't know how this shit works thing, and clicked every icon possible. Turns out the light switch "BBCodeMode " icon works.

My quote buttons don't work at all. I click "Quote" and it drops to the reply container, but it's blank. No auto-populated quote box. MultiQuote doesn't work either.

I've had this issue for several months.

Any ideas?

With BBCodeMode off, I can get it to work. With BBCodeMode on, no workie.

I can turn BBCodeMode off, click QUOTE, and then turn BBCodeMode back on to make the quote container look correct.

No. No reason. I've never had an issue with normal functions in the past so I didn't know to try toggling bbcodemode.

IPBoard is about to release a major upgrade to their forum software. I imagine a lot of little queertrons will go away (and others will develop) as a result of the upgrade.
