Just got off the phone with the TFSC and they said they had no information regarding a 6 year UPT ADSC waiver. The guy I spoke with called the separations folks and they said they are still waiting to hear back from Air Staff on whether they will waive UPT ADSC's so at least it sounds like it is slightly within their cross check.

I'm sure he's trolling, but if they did put it at 6 years, then bravo "Air Staff." Those of us serving out our sentences in GCSs will appreciate the choice of that number.

6 years makes sense if they actually want to cut pilots back to the '08 year group like the matrix that was taken down shows. First shred of common sense being applied however it appears to be WOM at this point.

Sir / Ma’am (All TERA Applicants)

Thank you for your immediate responses. Please keep in mind if you have already attached the Statement of Understanding (SOU) to your case previously (prior to 29 Mar 2014), there is no need to e-mail them or re-attach to your case.

1. Some of you may see a blank letter when you attempt to review them in the system. Please don’t be alarmed by this. If attached, we can see your signature on our end.

2. Based on system limitations please do not attempt to re-attach the SOU to your case. Attaching documents at this time will erroneously change the system status of your case.

3. Please do not e-mail the SOU if you have already attached to your case (Attached previously). Please only e-mail the letter if you have not signed and attached prior to Saturday 29 Mar 2014.

4. If you have any additional questions please continue to contact the Total Force Service Center at DSN: 665-0102 or 1-800-525-0102.

5. TERA processing has not been suspended. We are still planning to begin providing Approval/Disapproval notifications as scheduled 1-Apr-2014.

Your continued patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

Wow. Information. Does anyone know how to confirm our SOU is on file?

Note the wording of #5: "PLANNING to BEGIN..."

Look out boys, the rules are changing again!

Just got the same email. PSDM says complete by 1 Apr. Guess they are already planning ahead for their eventual failure. Shock.

MyPers, my account at top, one of the incidents should have the SOU missing cm if you received an email about it missing. Click on a vsp/tera related incident and it should be attached as a pdf. Also "my documents" on bottom left should have it.

That's what I was worried about. I know I uploaded my SOU, but I don't see it in either of those places. Awesome.

I was told by AFPC that the "qualified applicants" will be approved tomorrow. Applicants that are not qualified (i.e. ADSC) will have a decision in the near future (whatever that means).

Old TERA announcement

"Although we are updating in batches...The application window will run through 26 Mar 14. Therefore, you should expect an answer no later than 1 Apr 14."

New TERA announcement:

"TERA processing has not been suspended. We are still planning to begin providing Approval/Disapproval notifications as scheduled 1-Apr-2014."

Ah yes, the "changing goal post" technique. Helping warriors meet their objectives since 2008.

We didn't lie, the truth just changed.

It worked in Iraq...it can work here.

I got an email from my boss today saying that they will waive 550 pilot/flying ADSCs for VSP. There were no details on how many to which year groups, airframes, etc. though so take it with a grain of salt. Here's hoping.

AFPC just sent out a correction. The 550 is metric and AFPC still uses standard. The actual number after conversion is 341.755005157394. I rounded off the last digit.

Are you at an undisclosed in location in Southwest Asia where it's April 1st? Haha very funny.

The total of 11X overages from 2005-2008 on the previous RIF matrix was only 415. Maybe they are including some CSOs in the later year groups that may have ADSC remaining. Could they actually be intelligent enough to be offering ADSC waivers for the entire group in order to make them eligible for VSP, like the CSAF promised he would? If so, it would be the first thing to impress me about the AF for a long time.

If they include the 04 year group (not eligible for the RIF, still?), that might get them to 550. Or that number could include the late-to-rate folks in the 01-03 year groups, or both.

It could be referencing the CSOs, though Nav training ADSC was not excepted from the waiver in 13-65. But, who knows at this point, right?

Good luck to the TERA applicants today....

K. I'm a little slow on the uptake. Which of the last 7 seven posts are legit? I doubt many of us are in the mood for tomfoolery on this subject but I'll throw out a courtesy laugh just to get clarification on the above info.

My "good night all" was completely legit. I really meant it.
