Back to original question. Yes, what everyone else has already said stands. The flying gets us through the in betweens until the next time we get to fly. Then you do some sweet low level tac mission, insert some PJ's/SEAL's/ to some rooftop or extract them with the survivor and you're like, "wow, my job rules!" or whatever the equivalent for your airframe is.
