Along the lines of finance... How significant of a monetary loss does one realize when selling back leave versus going on terminal. Obviously it varies. My understanding is that when selling back, one loses out on BAH, BAS, incentive pay, etc. for those days. Is this correct, or have I been misled. Anything else I am not taking into account? I'm sure there's plenty of Air Force guidance on this, but I am looking for a legitimate perspective, not shoe-clerkese. ETA: Good info here. I'm also looking for other's insight as many of us are nearing a potential terminal start date quickly.

Checks. Without getting into numbers, AFPC has dealt the C-17 FTU a major shit-sandwich. While I think a message has been sent, I do not believe it will be received by leadership. Somehow it will all be worked out and timelines will be met (read Powerpoint slides for the O-6 in the green). Meanwhile, the burden lies with the guys still left in the squadron fighting the good fight.

Next few months.... Assuming I get VSP approved in a "few months," that will make my last bit of Active Duty service a real shit-show. I guarantee my usefulness to the squadron will be about nil as I try to get my civilian life in order. The longer they kick this can down the road, the harder it is going to be for my squadron-mates to pick up the ball that is going to be dropped when I (and my fellow VSP'ers) prepare to depart the fix.

Did anyone at AFPC consider tying up a few of the loose ends from the FY14 program before delving balls deep into FY15's!? Jesus tap-dancing Christ!

I certainly would let her use it. My legit B.S. degree coupled with my joke TUI MBA will certainly be enough to get me someplace in life (read Delta, United, Southwest, American, etc.) BUT... I refuse to incur any additional ADSC (see FY 14 Force Management thread for my feelings on Active Duty Air Force). Last I heard, it was a 4 year ADSC to transfer the Post 9/11 GI Bill. I may very well have misread that though. Perhaps someone can enlighten us all on that topic. I've heard conflicting numbers.

Tell the guys in the MAF that the fastest way to poison the crew force is to show any sign of "Leadership by Q-3" that many OGs seemed to have embraced as of late.
