  1. Because people on here don't have your vast experience and are seeking some real advice on this forum and not wanting to be ridiculed for asking that question.
  2. There is never a "good time" to do anything in the Air Force today in regards to getting married, having kids, etc... So if you plan your life plans around the Air Force's time line, then you will never accomplish anything in regards to your home life. I got engaged and we lived apart for 3 years while I went through UPT, IFF and the RTU b/c she couldn't move due to her job. I got married immediately after the RTU and then went TDY for 1 month exactly 2 days later then got to my new duty station and within 1 month was deployed for 4 months. Another example is that my wife was pregnant and I was TDY for 5 months of the 9 months of the pregnancy. So, just do what you want, when you want to do it and don't think about the Air Force...
  3. My original PIT class had a Test Pilot, MWS IP's and former PIT IP's that were there going through again and NOBODY prof advanced out of any flights, even when they asked to do so. So, any bright ideas on why this occured since you were a former PIT IP b/c your above reasoning doesn't really cut it?
  4. Highly unlikely.... The first time I went through PIT I asked to PA out of as many flights as possible b/c I needed to get home for the birth of my kid and was still at RND for about 4 months. It is almost like the IP's are told to make sure all studs stay for the full length of their TDY to just find a reason for the existence of PIT at Randolph. Just think of the money saved if all bases were like Sheppard and there was a PIT flight to train the future IP's at Columbus, Vance and Laughlin.
  5. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2111526/Alamo-Heights-High-school-basketball-team-forced-apologise-USA-USA-chant-deemed-racist.html In San Antonio of all places....
  6. It is because this video has been discussed at depth already in another thread...
  7. That is a great video and a great band! I can seriously keep watching this video over and over again. Maybe people should start posting this video in every thread on this website so that we can make sure anybody reading a post has the option of seeing it!!!!!!
  8. Lets just join all of these together somehow to make one moto: "Aim High to Flight, Fight and Win because Above All, No One Comes Close to Do Something Amazing." I think this moto can be easily remembered by all....
  9. When I was on the ROK, the Army was the group in charge of all the motorcycle courses and they were only held at Yongsan and only the Army was allowed to take the course. Even Lt Gen Remington (7AF/CC) got turned away from the course b/c he was Air Force. Since he got turned away I think he was putting in a request for all DoD personnel to be allowed to take the course but I don't know what happened to that request since I left.
  10. I got pulled over on a PACAF base last fall and was told by SF that my experienced riders course card had expired and that the course must be taken every 2 years. So, I looked it up in the AFI, the PACAF sup and the base sup and saw nothing on this. I called bullsh*t on this but still interesting that SF is saying this at certain bases.
  11. Not really a WTF, but I got a pretty good chuckle out of it...
  12. But were you always "Ready to Fight Tonight"?
  13. Great quote and totally relevant to the topic at hand but Brands is an ass!

  15. Nice, lets not give their last names because of secrecy but lets post their pictures and say where they live....
  16. These two pics look way too similar, coincidence?????
  17. Ours was on Friday, started at 0800 and ended at 1630 and then the base went straight into ATSO training until about 1830. Needless to say, if you didn't want to kill yourself before that day, you definately did after 10.5 hours of briefings.

  19. I have to admit, that might be one the better versions of the National Anthem I have heard in a long time.
  20. Also saw in Panetta's proposal that 6 of the 60 tactical squadrons are going to be closed; any ideas on which 6?
  21. I don't know any inexperienced FCF pilots in the CAF, so that reasoning sounds odd to me.
  22. I can never listen to that song again with out laughing...
  23. And that is a problem why?
