They don't care. If it's derogatory towards the Dear Leader, it gets labeled as "Fake News." I truly believe there's nothing Trump could do to have his supporters turn their backs on him at this point. “Mexico will pay for a wall, the national debt will be eliminated within 8 years, the Ukraine-Russia war will be ended before even taking office, energy costs will be lowered 50% within a year, Obamacare will be replaced with 'concepts of a plan.'” etc. etc. etc. All total bullshit. Meme-coin scams, calls for terminating the constitution, hush-money to porn stars, claims that elections are rigged, "falling in love" with Kim Jong Un, suggesting Canada should be the 51st state and illegals "are eating the pets." More time playing golf than any POTUS. Giant gaudy North Korean-esque portraits of himself draped on buildings around DC. A narcissist beyond measure. Has the mind of a child. An insufferable and obvious idiot literally any time he speaks. They don't give a shit. So if you think the Epstein files are going to move the needle, guess again. There is literally nothing he could do that will change their minds. .....Wait, I take that back. There is just one thing: If Trump turned back to being a democrat. If he endorsed gun control (again) or became pro-choice (again). If he welcomed immigration and open boarders. If he spoke of climate change initiatives, universal healthcare, or free college. And especially if he flip-flopped on the real important issues to MAGA: The political red meat. If he started encouraging pronoun use, or trans males in female sports. If he used trigger warnings and safe spaces. If he talked about reparations, or being ok with kneeling for the National Anthem during football. Holy shit. Then. Then they might turn against him. Maybe. Because that's the truth at the end of the day. Nothing he says or does will ever matter, so long as he represents the opposition to the left and their lunacy. For all the red hats and Trump flags and watches and NFTs and sneakers, it's not even about him specifically. It's actually about liberals. "Demon-rats," "libtards," "socialists and communists," etc. It’s about the girl with the blue hair and nose ring you can see poking out under her mask, who’s on her way to school in her Prius with a “coexist“ and BLM sticker. Going to teach your kid about how to become a non-binary, pro-Palestine vegan. As long as Trump's seen as the oppositionist to that, then this picture will continue to be the world we live in........

-An American city in flames. -Trump depicting himself as LTC “Kilgore,” a fictional character defined by sadism and lunacy. -A name change from the Department of Defense to the Department of War, and a threat that Chicago…. Chicago, Illinois, USA, …..is about to find out why. But let me guess, …..you guys still think this is fine. Totally normal behavior, no? People that find this unconscionable and sickening just have TDS. “Mean tweets” is all, right? And after all, come on, whatabout Hunter’s laptop???

This illustrates my point exactly. In your comparison example, we were at war with Japan. We dropped nukes on them and forced their unconditional surrender. Today, we’re not at war with Russia, and the “deal” that will be brokered will almost certainly result in Russia….aka. the enemy……seizing land from a sovereign nation. And guys are acting like a fly by is some sort of flex of strength and power. It makes no sense to me, and the downvotes and memes with no other comment tell me it doesn’t make sense to other guys either.

I honestly don’t understand the implication here. “Power move?” How so? Trump: “Hey look, we have B-2’s and F-35s.” Putin: “yeah, I know. Cool.” Is the implication supposed to be “watch out, cause we just might use these against Russia?” Putin knows there’s zero chance of that happening. Besides, I think he’s probably much more worried about drone swarm attacks, like the kind that took out most of his bomber fleet, than he is about fat Amy. This is classic Trump. Using the military as a symbol of strength to try to mask his weakness and ineffectuality. Putin is going to get Ukrainian territory out of this, and Trump is pressuring Zelensky to surrender it to him asap. But yeah, cool air show. “Vlad, look at these static display F-22’s. Badass, huh? …..Now, go enjoy the Donbas.”

How vain of him. Outrageous. What a beta. Next thing you know, he’ll graduate to caking bright orange makeup on his face, or maybe wearing eyeliner like JD Vance.

I wouldn’t have posted that clip if I thought it was taken out of context. The media is certainly guilty of that. Remember last Nov when the leading story was that “Trump says Liz Cheney should face a firing squad?” It was clear he was calling out hawkish politicians and their eagerness to commit troops to face enemies that they themselves would never face. It was delivered poorly ….because Trump has the intelligence and vocabulary of a 5th grader, ….but no doubt the media tried to misrepresent his point. The clip above isn’t like that. He’s asked a direct, simple question. It’s a question that only has one correct answer: “Yes.” After simply affirming his sworn oath, he could have then continued into his typical nonsensical “weave”. But he didn’t say Yes. He said “I don’t know.” And I take him at his word. That he views the Constitution as negotiable is obvious at this point, including in this interview. “the 5th amendment says they’re entitled to due process” “well it might say that, but then we’d have to have millions of trials. I was elected to get these people the hell out. They’re some of the worst people on earth.” See, this is just how his brain works. “The ends justify the means” is the extent of his reasoning faculties. I honestly don’t even blame him for it anymore. He thinks if something is logistically difficult, then we can just ignore the 5th Amendment. He thinks that winning an election by a large margin entitles him to do whatever he wants, Constitutional or not. He thinks if people are really “bad”….”murderers or drug dealers,” then laws and due process are unnecessary obstacles. “I was elected to get them the hell out of here….. and the courts are holding me from doing it” he says, indignantly. Any uncertainty, any mincing words, any suggestion that it’s too difficult a question to sort out without the aid of attorneys is insane. And before Trump, you would have agreed. Had it been Obama or Hilary or Kamala, you would agree. This is precisely why Trump supporters are viewed as cult-like. Their absolute inability to criticize the dear leader. All you have to say is (something like) “damn, yeah, that’s messed up. Can’t believe he didn’t just say ‘Yes, of course.’ As a military officer, had someone asked me that, I wouldn’t have had to think for a millisecond.” Then you could have pivoted to whataboutism or “TDS” or a lesser-of-two-evils argument. (….I know I’m asking too much to assume you could criticize the dear leader …to even the mildest degree… and just leave it at that.) But instead, you criticize me. I’m whining….I’m stupid, I’m a bitter liar. It’s so pathetic. What the hell happened to you guys?

I agree, 100%. Additionally, it amazes me that there are still military folks who will defend and promote a president who doesn’t support or defend the Constitution. When asked point blank (at 2:08), “don’t you need to uphold the Constitution of the United States as President?” Trump answered “I don’t know.”

......just when you think the narcissism and cult-like worship couldn't possibly get any more ridiculous. If it does turn out to totally fail to deliver on its promises, at least it'll live up to its namesake. -
You posted this in September of last year: “AA now expecting to halt hiring for the next 18 months. 1300 pilot surplus, with plans to look into furloughs if that number hits 1,500. This is from the chief pilots behind closed doors, so take it with a grain of salt. But something has them spooked.” Is this “pilot recruiting contract” of yours just as reliable as “chief pilots behind closed doors?”

This meme is so idiotic. All this talk about Elon's gesture being "taken out of context." Ok, here's some relevant context: First and most glaring, these pictures are stills. Screenshot as their hands happened to be up during a speech, or while being welcomed on stage. GMAFB. It's a far cry from the video of Elon. His hand to chest, and vigorously, with front-tooth overbite, hard saluting. Twice. Sorry, but motion and intensity matter. Body language matters. Expressions matter. The other thing that matters, concerning context, is the audience. MAGA vs. the lefty's in the meme. As I heard it put the other day, "Not every Trump voter is a white supremacist. But, every white supremacist is a Trump voter." There's a perception among many that the MAGA movement is, among other things, inherently racist. ....Not sure if that's a news flash to anyone. (*I am not, before you blow a gasket, claiming that Trump or Elon (or you) are racist. Only that it's a widely held view that many of their supporters are, not incidentally because of their actions, words, chants, clothing choices, endorsements, etc.) Does the same core perception exist towards Elizabeth Warren supporters or Taylor Swift fans? No. Beyond the stupid (....and I mean truly eye-roll-inducing) meme, the disturbing part of the response to Elon's gesture is the absolute refusal to criticize Trump or his minions. No matter what. MAGA folks won't offer even the faintest hint of doubt or disapproval, and this is why another core perception of MAGA is that it's a cult, or cult-like. Just try it. Once. Try criticizing a decision or an action of Trump (or Elon or Vance, etc.). You can make it a really gentle criticism to start. Doubt, in the form of a question, works as a really soft, muted criticism for recovering cultists. For example, try asking "...gee, should he have done that?" See how it feels. Then graduate to sandwiching a weak criticism between two strong compliments to continue easing into it. The thinking among most people has become totally dualistic and binary, and it's a serious problem. You don't have to say you're certain that he's a literal Nazi. And you also don't have to try to defend him completely. Try saying "Wow....that looked a little messed up." or "I agree. That was really strange. I wish he hadn't done that." or "Elon is a little weird and spectrum-y. I hope he gets some media counseling in this new role so this doesn't happen again." You'll know you've made significant progress when you can admit something simple like that and then say nothing else. In other words, without also making a comparison to a leftist policy or a "what about..." concerning a democrat. You can still support Trump and Elon. It's ok. Every human has faults and makes mistakes. If those mistakes are acknowledged, good things happen. They can be held to account for them and improve. On the other hand, if the Dear Leader and his friends are excused from any and everything, ......if we do things like pretend that Taylor Swift waving to an audience of gushing teenyboppers is the same as Elon's gesture to MAGA fanatics.......then those leaders become even more self-righteous and untouchable. The divide in our country grows, and each side becomes more cult-like.

Very glad that you included the grains of salt. Drudge has always exploited fear and hysteria as clickbait, but they’ve gone completely off the deep end in the last few years. Their headlines got especially ridiculous during Covid and only keep getting more ridiculous. Here’s a screenshot of Drudge on Nov 4th. 24 hours later, Trump won decisively and swept all the swing states. “….uhh….whoops….ohh well, on to the next headlines.” Today they’re stoking fear of nuclear war in Ukraine. What a total clown show that page has become.
