I got an update from the 457th in Fort Worth, made it through the first stage it says! Obviously they can't do anything right now but it was certainly encouraging to read in a time where encouragement is in shorter supply than usual.

Congrats dude, how’d you find out?

  2. For those of you applying to the 115th Airlift Squadron out of Point Mugu, CA, do we include official sealed transcripts with the mailed in application? Their flyer states this,

    "Sealed Official College Transcripts

    • Unofficial copies placed inside application package"

Obviously for the E-mailed application, the only choice is placing unofficial copies, but I'm confused for the mailed app.

Got a hold of the B1 and B2 pilots a while ago. B1 guys said no Board for at least 3 years. B2 guys have prospects send in a resume and then they reach out, mostly rated though.

This was maybe 8 months ago, so it be a good idea to reach out to them to get an updated response

Interesting. I may send the 131st a resume and see what happens.

Friday and Saturday is your best bet. Not much going on Sunday's normally.

You are reading it.  If you've gotten this far you know what needs to be in your application (scores, transcript, letters, blah blah blah).  You can send those to the email address and they'll help set you up for base access.

Thanks for the heads up about the 122nd FS since there’s no official UPT posting about them. I’ll email my package tomorrow. Do you work with the squadron? If not, how did you hear about it?

iPhone with the selfie stick will undoubtedly give you the most style points. If you're feeling ballsy, you can do the selfie style with an iPad and that could land you even more style points, given the execution is good. If you are able to pull it off, hold a laptop with a camera selfie style. This will be the hardest to pull off but if you do it correctly and well, you are almost guaranteed an interview.

Use a DJI drone instead 😉

You absolutely should, and don't forget to post a link here for us to watch and give feedback 😉

In all seriousness, I highly recommend it because it's a chance for the hiring board to put a face and personality to an application.

Thanks man. Definitely agree with that. Do you think a webcam in front of a desktop PC will suffice?
