Whereas the contamination is a serious issue...

Airmen assigned to CVS: Let us bring nice things to Clovis. We need affordable and safe housing.

Clovis leadership: If you don’t like it, you can always go to Iraq/Afghanistan. And buy these houses that jumped $95K after we went out to see what cost per square foot is in Florida.

Can’t imagine where the snark came from.

That snark from a Air Force GS that voluntarily lives in Clovis? Yeah, I I can’t imagine where that snark came from either.

20 years of balls to the wall no shit combat deployments, an incessant demand for their skills, and a lot of operations or groups of them given very little left/right boundaries and I'm truly surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Valid. However, why doesn't the other SOCOM groups have these problems as bad as them?

I've been told that I needed to stop deploying do much because it would hurt my chances for promotion.  Granted, it wasn't during my first ops tour... But we're still sending the message to young guys that the Air Force values queep more than lethality when it comes to promotion time.

That’s because a majority of the fools in charge, especially in the MAF, were the ones who were skirting deployments in the mid-to-late 2000’s. They’re just going to preach what helped them achieve their promotions.

  4. Get a doctor to write a Nexus letter claiming any issues that you’re claiming were due to your Active Duty. If you have any medical issues that were documented in your military medical records during your time, that shouldn’t need a Nexus letter. Also, talk to a good VSO to help you.

  5. I’ve had luck with the VFW, but YMMV depending on where you live. Make sure to file your Notice of Disagreement within a year of denial to preserve the date of denial. The package they mail you will explain why they denied you. Once you file your NOD, it could possibly take years to go through the appeal process, however there’s a new program called RAMP that has been speeding up their claims, usually in favor of the veteran.

No shit. Boy, it’s almost like 19 some odd years of being in the military means I don’t know anything. Thanks for the lesson. GFY.

Well, in that case then you’d know what you said about Constitutional Right via the 6th Amendment wasn’t completely true.

If your son has a good lawyer, then he should be fine for the CM since he has a constitutional right to face his accuser.

Well, the “accuser” in a court martial is normally your commander because they sign your charge sheet alledging you committed those charges after they reviewed the investigative report. Also, the Covening Authority can have an Art 32 hearing, where the complaining witness (victim) doesn’t have to testify, and have the Art 32 Officer (JAG for Art 120 cases) recommend dismissal...and still order it to go to a court martial.  Works a little bit different in military justice.
