Point of order: Xennials precede Millenials. Carry on ...

    Description

Xennials are the micro-generation of people on the cusp of the Generation X and Millennial demographic cohorts, typically born between the late 1970s and early 1980s. Xennials are described as having had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood. Wikipedia

My bad, I meant Generation Z.

This was found on the USS Goatrope back in ‘69 before all these millennials came and ruined everything.

There are Chiefs and FGO’s, and have been at their current grade for a few years, who are millennials. In fact, the first millennials are set to be eligible retire from the service starting next year. The triggered about everything and report everything they don’t agree with are more of a Xennial (generation after millennial) tactic.

  3. Apparently the Navy is investigating this “issue.” I guess I don’t know what for? The patches were most likely procured via personal funds and weren’t displaying support for any political party while in uniform. Seems to me some folks are using this as confirmation bias just solely based on the fact they don’t like the POTUS and they’re trying to shoe horn alleged misconduct towards support of the POTUS.

Article 32 officer hasn't even determined there is probable cause for a trial yet, Colorado Springs PD already determined that there was not, and we're plastering the guy's name all over the place?

Not relevant to topic, and prejudicial to someone that is innocent until proven guilty. Delete and move on.

The Air Force always does that. However, if fully acquitted they don’t release your name.

There are DO jobs available if that is what you want. I wonder if this is a reason why we get slammed on promotion boards for not taking on other types of leadership jobs. Being an AC or MC is a leadership job.

So you’re a DO of a non-flying TRS in AETC?

  6. I mean, they do have to listen because of his rank. Do they have to respect him personally? No. He also assumes responsibility when the E’s follow his orders and in the end it was a piss poor decision. The only way that doesn’t happen is if he’s a HPO and “forgiven” by senior commanders, which subsequently gets him promoted.

No one cares about your career more than you.  You can care about other's careers as well, but at the end of the day, the person with the most invested in your career is yourself.

You don't have to stab people in the back to do the things the Air Force values as an institution.

You do have to stab people in the back when you're charge and people under you threaten to damage your future promotions and career. Reference the fired commanders thread.

Need to second this.  There is a lack of mission focus in AMC that you won't realize until you do a tour in PACAF or USAFE.

I found teaching in AETC while at the -135 FTU more enjoyable than I ever did my three previous assignments in AMC.

  9. I work with a guy who’s father was killed because he was an interpreter for the Army in Afghanistan (from Kabul). He got an expedited temporary visa because the Taliban found out he was working for the Army and started calling his house and found his work number and threatening to kill him, his wife, and kid. Obviously if it’s not for nefarious reasons, I don’t blame those that defected knowing they could lose their lives for just interacting or being trained by Americans.

He’s taking his citizenship test laster this year, just had another kid, and bought his first house. If there is someone that loves being in America, it’s him. Sometimes we just don’t realize how good we have it to be naturally born Americans. It takes hearing stories like that to make us realize that despite the internal turmoil that this country has, it’s still the greatest one on the planet.

What happens to a Brig Gen who can't do their job anymore? Do they just stay home until a suitable position is found for them?

The reason why GO’s gets caught with IG stuff is because by law they have to be investigated by the Service Secretary IG/DOD IG. It’s no so easily swept under the rug by a Wing/NAF/MAJCOM IG.

The story is he got busted a couple years ago for a relationship with a SrA, launched an investigation. Screwed him up for ever making O5. A year later started up with a TSgt and moved her and her kid in then denied it. The commander started another investigation. Then it screwed up his TS so they have no choice but 20 and done. Used to be a Youngstown guy but I worked with him at LRAFB at schoolhouse.

No court martial or kicked out cause of it? Weird.

I was beginning to wonder if we chased off all the Demo’s on the forum, we need you around to show the other side.  Even if a lot of us think these kind of posts make no sense whatsoever.  It’s up there with global warming causes global cooling.  He will not be impeached and he’ll probably win in 2020, get used to the idea.

BTW, my nickel law degree & common sense tells me if there isn’t enough for burden of proof, it is most likely didn’t happen.  On top of the fact there was no crime to obstruct, just a blowhard that was protected by the team around him, something Nixon could have used.

There’s different burden’s of proof. When you file a VA claim, it’s “more likely than not” burden. In criminal law, it’s the highest (for good reason), “beyond a reasonable doubt.” Even if the House could drum up 2/3rds majority to impeach him, it’ll never be approved in a Republican controlled Senate. So the issue would be moot. Even trying is just vying for optics from their base for election season.

The Mueller Report literally says that it doesn’t show that criminal conduct either happened, nor does it exonerate him from any criminal conduct. It’s the equivalent of a hung jury. Remember, it’s beyond a reasonable doubt. However, the Mueller Report also says it adheres to a DOJ policy (not a law, a policy) that states they will not charge a sitting President with criminal charges (states will since they’re a different sovereignty). So, even if the Mueller Report would’ve said that Trump committed obstruction of justice beyond a reasonable doubt, he wasn’t going to get charged anyway by the Feds, since it would’ve gone against the DOJ policy. It would’ve just been dumped off on Congress to do something, if anything.

There’s been talk about how “there wasn’t any crime, so you can’t have obstruction of justice.” Which, isn’t quite true per the Federal definition of it.

    1. There was a proceeding pending before a department or agency of the United States.
    2. The defendant knew of or had a reasonably founded belief that the proceeding was pending.
    3. The defendant corruptly endeavored to influence, obstruct, or impede the due and proper administration of the law under which the proceeding was pending.

Martha Stewart was charged, and convicted of obstruction of justice inter alia , even after the major charge of securities fraud was dismissed. But like I said, even if Mueller had found that he obstructed justice beyond a reasonable doubt, the only option is to turn it over to Congress for possible impeachment.

Nixon would’ve most likely never been in the position to resign had he not been stupid enough to record himself talking obstructing justice via the “Smoking Gun Tape” by ordering the FBI to not investigate the Watergate break in.

Based on the diluted Democratic nominees, all 400+ running, Trump will most likely win re-election.
