    I got one of the 6 C-17s that dropped at XL last week...not sure if that spike is part of the ramp-up that CHS17 was referring to. Anyways, I tried to join the C-17 Aircrew Study Group using the instructions on this page, but the Portal said that the CoP had been disabled. Something about it not being in compliance. Any idea how long it's been down, and if/when it's going to be available again? Thanks for any help/info you can offer.

    Gee thanks for your help... didn't realize "silly students" couldn't ask questions... some people have worked hard and deserve better than "avoid the RPA...if you can"

    OTOH, some people have worked hard and also aren't pussies...lighten up, francis.

    No one is taken what he did and throwing judgement on his character or assessing him as an individual. I'm sure behind the lying to investigators (integrity first) and the deviation of known flight rules (excellence) he is an awesome officer and great dude.

    Unfortunately, I or the other 99.69% of users don't know the full story...the investigation will tell all, and anything beyond that should be considered a Major and his peeps trying to CYA. Just my .02...

    I wish I knew more about it - as I find it unfortunate that he was close to retirement.

    I think 99.69% of us here can agree that the core values, while theoretically valid, are just more buzz words for ROTC/USAFA/OTS/BMT kids to memorize and regurgitate pre-active duty. If it's not about OPR/EPR bullets, it's not a priority. Sad AF we live in...

    Maker's Ambassador #275603, Barrel #790590.

    In a pinch I find Evan Williams Single Barrel to be extremely good. I also think Basil Hayden's is top notch. And if you're going to drink Tennessee Whisky I like George Dickel.

    Anyone try Maker's 46 yet? Looks promising! But - my go to favorite is plain ol' nectar of the Gods Maker's Mark - I am an ambassador after all!

    My new find is Eagle Rare. Single barrel, aged 10 yrs, smooth like Maker's. And it's a steal at $27.
