I have a PSA 20" A2 clone that I built and couldn't be happier with it. The only malfunctions that I have had have been self-induced when learning to reload. It's currently shooting at 2-3 MOA and I can reliably hit steel out to 600m.
  4. So as I see it in the excerpt IPUG or WIC will not incur the ADSC since they are not initial or requal. Also what about differences training (ie TH-1 to a UH-1) it's an initial qual course at the FTU but isn't per the MDSV2?
  5. BLUF: You can be reimbursed provided you "have been advised the order will be issued" and cite JTR 050403.

No that would not be illegal, however if a machine shop would let you "rent" a CNC machine that is already jigged up for an 80% lower and allow you to use their machine to finish the lower than that business would be considered an unlicensed manufacturer. More info from an ATF raid in CA

I don't think that 3D printing your own gun would be an issue. People make handmade guns all of the time (muskets, 80% ARs, etc). The issue will be when you make a gun for somebody else. This came up when people would let others use their CNC machine to mill out 80% lowers...for a small fee. The ATF determined that you were now an unlicensed manufacturer and were dealt with accordingly. From ATF Ruling 2015-1 BLUF: Do it yourself with your own stuff: legal. Do it for somebody else without an FFL: illegal
  8. I know that but the Air Force doesnt. The new guidance refers to the uniform as OCP. The interim guidance previously called it the ACU but it was dropped.
  9. OCP is the ground pounder variant without the flaps on the upper sleeves and elastic waist Velcro. The pants have a different pocket arrangement and are not blouses. Almost all of the closures are zippered. Finally I have not seen any A2CU in the Scorpion W2 pattern, only Multicam.

308 is cheaper for ammo but Creedmore has far better ballistics.
  11. Looks like in 2020 we’ll be looking like Marines.
  12. If AFE is good for one thing it's enforcing stupid STF rules. Just get them involved and see if it changes.
  13. New 36-2903 interim guidance is released with the OCP arrive 1 Oct. Leave it to the AF to mess it up yet again. (Add) 8.12.2.13. Users are authorized to wear the A2CU to on-base establishments and while traveling directly between the user’s quarters and base. Convenience stops are not authorized while traveling off-base. This is still may favorite part: /s (Add) 5.4.4.1.1. The U.S. flag patch is mandatory and will be subdued using the spice brown color criteria (cloth) centered at the top of velcro and worn while in–garrison and deployed. 8.4.7 If wearing the US flag, it will be red, white, and blue with a straight flag approximately 2 X 3 inches. Note: Chapter 1, Title 4, United States Code, specifies the flag colors as red, white, and blue; therefore, subdued flag replicas are not authorized for wear on the FDU/DFDU.Note: Chapter 1, Title 4, United States Code, specifies the flag colors as red, white, and blue; therefore, subdued flag replicas are not authorized for wear on the FDU/DFDU.

I believed that was fixed with their "voluntary upgrade program" last year. AFAIK all new builds have the upgrades build in.

Now that the AF has decided that they will transition to the M18 in the next few years anybody have any experience with it? I am unable to find a P320 Carry with the manual safety and the FCU is unable to be retrofitted to add one. Ideally I'd get one with a manual safety just because it's what I would carry and it's not a hassle to leave it off if I don't want to use it. I'm hoping to jump on the P320 train before they get harder to find.

It'd be more comparable to the XD-S since it's a single stack. I shot the XD-S in 9mm and liked it. The .45 had a bit too much bite for my tastes. Then again, I have big hands and needed the extended magazine for my pinkie to fit on the grip.

There were only 2 pilots IPZ that weren’t promoted. That one got me.

Oddly it was AFGSC that was doing the last bit of the push. Once the SERE guys got their tentacles into it, and they could see their own empire grow with "new tactics" it took off. These are needed not just for ejection seats but also other aircraft that don't have the cockpit space for an M4, ***cough H-60***. For qualification, the course of fire will be identical to the M4, just with iron sights instead of the M68. The last powerpoint I saw had that if you were qualified in the M4 you were good for the GAU-5A since the manual of arms was the same between them. SERE handles all of the assembly training.
  19. Upmass. It's really expensive to put stuff into orbit.

There is a Top Gear episode where James May gets a U-2 flight as well that is pretty sweet.

It'll be in the public release tomorrow. The list that the CCs received had the line numbers.
  22. Let’s realistic, an O-6 cop commander has nearly 0 to do with a box of Mk19 round s falling off a vehicle or an M240 missing from an armory.

If he uses the dinosaur puppet he'll be forced to separate following internet-rage from veterans who had it harder in their day.

So how are they going to decide line numbers now that everybody is the same? The way the O-3 board worked is that DOR was the deciding factor. If so does that mean that all of the APZ guys will be pinning on first?
