EDIT: I just did a image search for Clarice Partee and it pulled up a broken image at facebook.com.. so I popped on there and sure enough, I think we found her:
The college is right and she was a sophomore in 2007 so she'd have graduated this year. I think we found her.
I think I more enjoy your use of the "Pirate" language setting on facebook. Well done.

Just out of curiosity, I saw in his bio that he was born in Slovenia. Is he an immigrant or was that on some kind of military base?

Anything by George Orwell is good. I especially remember Animal Farm and 1984.
Also, Catcher in the Rye was very good. I'll admit I read it because I was really curious about all those assassins being found with copies of it but the book turned out to be excellent.

What is the BIT like for dudes going to the Bone and the Buff? I know it's pretty bad all across the board for fighter dudes but I hadn't heard much in terms of bomber guys.

I'm sorry but this is all I can think of when I think of North Korea.
You're breakin' my balls Hans, you're breakin' my balls!

I would not trade the experience of my father swearing me in as an officer, for any CINC.

Don't really see the big deal. I could care less who swore me in, the oath means the same no matter what.
Yea right. Have your freakin OTS Flight CC swear you in or the President of the United States and tell me which one is a bigger deal.

One my dad told me when I started my flying career:
"There is nothing more useless in aviation than runway behind you, altitude above you, and fuel on the ground."

Know the practical test standards and you can't fail (the ground portion anyway). That's all they can ask you so if you know all that stuff for the ground eval, you'll do fine. Same applies for instrument, commercial, etc.
For example, on my cfi oral I had my PTS out the entire time with notes I had made of where to reference certain regs or diagrams. The instructor said he liked it and showed that I was prepared.
Having said that, the examiner will know more than you, and if you are doing really well, they will ask you something you won't know to see if you can think on your feet and look up the information or figure it out. Don't stress about that and just learn from it. The examiner isn't trying to make you fail, they're trying to teach you something.
Good luck!

Salute back indeed. I never understood where the major confusion comes with this. Not calling you out or anything, but I have heard of several people being confused about it.
The one thing I find confusing is that at some bases I have been at the civ gate guards salute, and at others they don't. Who decides that?

I didn't hear this personally but a bro of mine said this happened at some school in Oklahoma where Japan Air would send students to go from 0 time to ATP's in a year.
Some Japanese student was going towards the airport and went into class C without saying anything when ATC says on the radio "State Intentions". There's a few seconds pause on the radio and the Japanese stud comes back and says "To become private pilot" (of course in hilarious Japanese accent).

Oh, and why do you have a picture of the SS Edmund Fizgerald as you avatar?
Because the winds of November came early (sts).

but how much will a fleet retrofit for longerons cost?...
How much does 300+ rolls of duct tape cost?

Make some bracelets that say "WWHD" (What Would Hacker Do) and follow his advice of just ignoring 'em.

So my wife says if it going to be Mustache March for me than it will be Celibacy March for her(us). To which I say "Well we all have to make sacrifices". Anyone else (Beside my buddies whose wives talk to my wife) in a similar situation??
I'm with you dude. But like our esteemed colleague said, don't back down! I won't give into threaths and intimidation in the marriage. That's my job (joke).

I had a girl in my flight that was 3 months from pinning on Captain and she got sent there. The reason she was given was that it was PME and it doesn't look good when you go up for Major if you hadn't attended. Don't shoot the messenger on this one, that's just what I was told from her.

"That crowd was rocking out to 'Danger Zone' when he plummeted into them at the speed of sound," said Lois Collsworthy, Peter's widow. "That would have meant a lot to him. He always loved that song."
Haha, brilliant.

This should maybe go in the "Dumbass questions" thread, but do dudes at ENJJPT wear blues until they pass the first boldface test like at some other bases?
I ask because I was talking with an EN IP a month or so ago and he said when he showed up back in '04, he got his bag on the second day he was there.

Whether or not the movie has some major homoerotic undertones, the flying scenes were the coolest thing ever and I'm sure had alot to do with my chosen profession.
