  1. I started investing my flight pay as a 1Lt using dollar cost averaging.  Just put money in every month because the market will increase over the long term.  I quit adding money to that account years ago when I was hired at an airline.  That account has had some serious ups and downs over 40 years but is now approaching 7 digits because time in the market usually beats timing the market.

  2. And the media does not care about the death and destruction in families. 270-ish people died every day for the last couple years...Every freaking day...From opioid overdose. But, nope, can't control the border, can't stop it, just can't do anything.

  3. Capitol One Venture card works like a champ worldwide.  $69-ish per year with the military discount but you can cover any travel expenses with points earned and the card easily pays for itself.  I do have a USAA card but it sits in a dresser drawer as a tertiary backup.

  4. We need someone to pull a Braveheart staff adjustment similar to the king that left his effeminate incompetent son in charge and the sons friends described himself as fully versed in warfare because he studied it. Then gets thrown out a window. That will never happen but it makes me smile just thinking about it.

That sounds like a lot of work compared to flying a legacy 13-15 days a month.

Doing wide body FO, I usually work 9 days or 12 if I pick up an extra trip. Had a CA ask me why I didn't bid CA then tell me the senior FOs should bid domestic CA to share their knowledge.  My response was "Hell no!".... Along with some other colorful descriptive commentary on domestic flying.

I didn't get the joke at first on OE when my CKA remarked that the FA's will cure 3/4's of the pax getting on early in wheelchairs. After we put the jet to sleep I noticed a good half dozen wheel chair pushers still waiting for pax when I got off and told them the jet was now empty.

Miracles occur on many flights and the lame are cured and can walk again!

  7. The level of woke stupidity knows no bounds.  My son is an engineer for Texas Instruments.  He does validations on chips produced and then writes spec sheets and user manuals for TI customers to use.  After he writes these things, various departments review them for accuracy, etc. and make comments.  So, he fires off his latest documents and the HR department makes the comment "can not use the term "disable" as it is not inclusive."

In other woke news, the Daily Wire is releasing "Lady Ballers" tomorrow.

  8. 1200 hours in the T-38 and never had a scary moment during a circling approach. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the "my jet" and go-around with selected  throttle position proportional to pucker factor during overhead patterns. Roll, relax, max works every time.

  9. Haven't seen any video of beheaded babies but I did see a video that puts that in the realm of possibility.  The Hamas animals had shot a guy and he is laying on the ground probably dying but not dead.  So, seeing how this person is defenseless, why not not kick him in the head and beat on him with your gun or whatever you have handy.  The guy on the ground makes a very weak attempt to cover his face.  At this point, one of these barbarians enters the video with a large rusty garden hoe and begins to chop at this guys neck to cut his head off.  Again, the defenseless guy on the ground is not dead when this begins but after a few wacks, he isn't moving anymore.  Curtis Lemay said, "You kill enough of them, they will stop fighting."  Israel needs to kill enough, preferably all, of them so they leave Israel and hopefully the rest of civilization alone.
