Retention Fail.
99% chance I'd punch after 10 if this went through. Like DC said, it's not worth it to the family.
The civilian pension argument is apples and oranges. Civilians don't spend half the year in crapmanistan, voluntarily flying into combat zones, risking their lives and losing friends along the way in the name of freedom. I think we've earned it.

Not sure if we're going to take this anywhere, but it sucks to be denied access to excellent facilities due to some presumed rule (or interpretation) when she was the only one working out in the kids room and there was zero safety threat.
You found excellent facilities???

Let's see... Blues on Mondays, a new PT test, and this stupid motto. Yup, Schwartz has turned out to be a great leader.
The next motto will be "Aim High...Fly, Fight, and Win...Fly, Fight, and Win in Air, Space, and Cyberspace...Cross Into the Blue"
This is why we're a joke to our sister services. How about we focus on the real issues of the Air Force instead of wasting money on stupid policies and reinventing the wheel?
You have to throw at least one "warrior" and one "combat" in there...

Kill people and break things.
Was that so difficult?

Sad news.

Up until a few years ago, they had gone 25 years without an incident. Now a slew of T-39 losses.
Not too far from the last T-39 crash in Walker County, GA 2006. Prayers go out to them.

In fact, having to design and produce three variants is the primary contributor to why design and production are behind and over-cost. Guess we didn't learn from the F-111 program; making something that fits everyone's needs (and those needs are HUGELY different) means you end of with something that is behind, over-priced, and is so full of compromise that it hurts capability.
Jack of all trades; master of none

I imagine the award was given before the T-6 incident.
Still an improvement, considering CBM lost 2xT-6s and 2xT-38s in the last 3 years or so... before that, the base hadn't lost a jet in over 5 years.
what t-6 incident?
I think he's referring to the solo stud ejection

Just the way it is...why do you need gradesheets for mission planning? All you really need to know is if you passed or not and are thus moving on to the next ride.
3-ride maneuver continuity, maneuvers below MIF, etc etc
Fly an item you aren't opted for = syllabus deviation
The standard AETC queep.
But the syllabus would be a good "alternative"

The Air Force isn't able to man the MC-12, either! See 3% of rated staff billets filled for proof.

Ran a search, this was the closest thing I could find on the subject but does anyone know if the T-1 is RVSM certified?
Negative.

And when he was here we never got any cool flyovers before football games. He did every single one :( Since he has left we've had some T-38s, C-17, parajumpers, T-45s, helos, and a couple others that I am forgetting right now.
Not entirely true. Remember the T-38 4-ship for the Thursday night game vs. South Carolina a few years back?

Why sell them an R model -135?

3. If you are wearing a utility uniform, please minimize youractivities outside the squadron or the necessary areas requiringutilities
OMFG! We are pilots. We fly airplanes. We go outside to fly airplanes. Shoes wear blues in offices because they don't fly airplanes.
I don't even want to know what base this is from.

Keep maxing the ROTH. I've done it every year I've been in.
Matching contributions for IRA won't happen, but matching to the TSP would be a possibility.
