  1. Soto Cano runs are now primarily flown by Jackson, but they do stop in CHS. The shuttle runs once a month, second Tuesday every month if I remember correctly.
  2. So, you're saying you don't know about the mission, but you would rather do something else. In a former life I flew as a load on C-130s, it's an awesome mission. Don't wish you could do something different when you don't fully understand what the differences are. And don't whine like a little bitch when you don't like the advice, it makes you sound like a nav and you're not fully qualified yet.
  3. "To: Sgt. Devin A Snyder and her family; community members; Alfred State College "From the active brothers of Kappa Sigma Epsilon Fraternity, we are deeply sorry. In a brief moment of self-gratification, we thought of no one else but ourselves, and for that we were wrong. Our actions and lack of empathy have caused the family of Sgt. Devin A Snyder (A fallen solider from Cohocton, NY) additional unnecessary grief, as well as the local communities and Alfred State College. We take full responsibility for our actions and we will do what we can to right the wrong, and return a sense of appreciation back to Sgt. Devin Snyder’s name and family. As an organization with alumni that represent active and retired veterans in all branches of the United States military service, our actions have dishonored all of their sacrifices and the memory of Sgt. Devin A Snyder. We are sorry to have jeopardized our evolving reputation among our community, our school and our peers." Our deepest apologies, The active brothers of Kappa Sigma Epsilon" Kids do dumb crap all of the time. The difference here seems that this group is owning up to their mistake. Let's hope they follow through and do the right thing.
  4. Hope that guy never has to drink through a straw.
  5. My guess would be that CHS/TCM are the only CONUS airdrop bases. No promise of airdrop for a new FPQ, but the opportunity is there.
  6. No, I think it's completely different. Subways are operating in two dimensions. What happens if the train goes degraded? Stop the train. What happens if a jet goes degraded? There's no mechanical backup. So, even if the pilot is along for the ride 99% of the time he needs to be there for the 1% when the automation doesn't work as planned. The pilot is a 1 percenter. As a passenger I'll pay a little extra for pilot to be onboard. I'll avoid a pilotless aircraft at all costs.
  7. I don't fully buy in to the internets.I found this on Snopes. Sounds to me like Coke is trying cut the legs out from their competition. Take it for what it's worth. http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/pepsi.asp
  8. Just closed on our refi with Dave Devine at NBOKC. 3.0% for 15 years, closing costs were way low compared to the competition. Dave did an awesome job. Highly recommend giving them a call if your in the market for a new mortgage.
  9. Interesting, I haven't seen a letter yet. How long ago did you file?
  10. No PME corr/in-res = 0% promotion rate.
  11. There really shouldn't be a difference. Just fill out the paperwork when asked. Unless there is something you are worried about that happened about nine years ago that will fall off the radar in the next year. If that's the case then I don't know what to tell you, except tell the truth and good luck.
  12. I can hear the bar pickup line from the band now. Yeah, I'm a warrior, I worked with combat controllers during OEF.
  13. I agree with you. I think these generals love their catch phrases Lorenz on leadership-Ronnie's rules. It failed miserably in this case as soon as he injected God and rules.
  14. Holy blinks a lot. http://video.foxnews.com/v/1457271002001/race-to-replace-gabby-giffords/?playlist_id=86858
  15. And it's free thru military one source.
  16. It is a great deal. Turns out that they only require an appraisal for refis from certain banks. Chase, where my original loan is, is one of the banks that they require an appraisal.
  17. Why dont you not be a dumbass. That's the point I'm making. Why waste the fvcking money on raptors to do something that an eagle or viper is quite capable of. Holy shit, thanks for the education, wow "drop tanks" now it all makes sense! OBTW, my original comment was an off the cuff joke about the drop tanks being there in the first place. Not really intended to be a capabilities pissing match.
  18. That wasn't really the point of my question. I'm not too familiar with super cruise really, for me it's exceeding .74M. However, I would think the extra drag might make higher cruising speeds harder to attain. Do you need super cruise to intercept a Bear? Maybe, probably depends on the situation. If you have F22s sitting alert, do you want the ability to intercept any threat at a further distance from the ADIZ? I thought that was the point of the capability. If F22s are sitting alert with drop tanks and can't attain super cruise whats the point of having the Raptor sit the alert?
  19. I'm curious how well super cruise works with the drop tanks.
  20. 1/2 percent VA funding fee plus a total of 1,550 in fees which I'm including in the loan 3.125% APR. NBOKC requires a $500 deposit which is credited at closing. So the bottom line is that I had to pay $500 to reduce my rate by 2.5%. I looked around before I decided that this was the best deal I could find. USAA would only offer a 30 year VA at 4%. And yes an appraisal is required, included in the closing costs I posted above. I haven't completed that yet, so I'm not sure how that's going to go.
  21. I pulled the trigger and am working with Dave Devine also. 15 year VA refi at 3%! I'm also deploying next week, so I'll keep everyone posted as how this works with a special POA. So far so good.
  22. Anyone catch the Pro Bowl's F-22 flyby? Terrible...
  23. Yep, I've had the opportunity to drive these clowns around the AOR. What a waste...
