Point taken..but when either of the above board an aircraft in a flying wing, it is more often than not a giant rectal pain/dog and pony show...exceptions abound, but usually it's more of an instructor over watch exercise vs the look at me I'm your leader and I'm an airborne wonder.

Ha...of course..but I bet they're still using callsigns, having roll calls and a whole bunch of other crap they've unknowingly duplicated from the aviation community that they so despise.

The crews I have flown with, O and E alike, have always been good about policing themselves when it comes to this stuff, if for no other reason at times than to avoid harassment. Yet even so...there's still no way to avoid the fly trap of constant stupidity, no matter how hard you try it seems. The example of Bagram in the winter is a perfect one...and everyone has a handful of stories about dumb crap like that they've been chiefed for. Not your only job sure, but a reputation well, WELL earned after years of going completely off the ranch with this stuff.
