  1. I'll take some trim.
  2. Or from someone bringing a pigtail with a power strip attached to it. That never happens!
  3. Ouch! Probably not something you'd see posted above the urinal in a C-17 squadron.
  4. Yeah, let's not all kiss his ass...as was mentioned by the trolls that frequent the AFtimes forum.
  5. I thought it was shake, take, salute. I'm so confused.
  6. Oh geez, not Top Gun quotes
  7. I agree that apps such as Foreflight are awesome and provide tons of SA. Hell, I use Foreflight above 10K in the cockpit too. I would just be smart using them, as they are not exactly "approved" IAW 202V3 and all. Especially using a bluetooth GPS receiver. Maybe someday AMC can hook up their crews with tools such as these to help prevent lapses on SA. Getting iPads are a step in the right direction, if it's used in its full capacity and not just as an eReader or to view FLIP.
  8. He looks totally sane to me.
  9. Were they KC-10s or the mini-tanker?
  10. I'm sure it was, but when the range on your MFD is set to 100NM everything looks close.
  11. I have been a part of VERY few coronets that were planned for night. If there were delays & the chicks would be landing at night I thought it required a waiver from their MAJCOM?
  12. Article said they were headed to North America? Part of a coronet? Great news the pilot is alright.
  13. You are being lazy if you don't either back yourself up with the box or dialing up an ILS or whatever for the active runway...ESPECIALLY when not at home station. Hell, even @ home station I'm dialing up the ILS for a visual. Thank God though they didn't end up hurting anyone.
  14. I was part of the initial testing @ Travis & can definitely say everything was looked @ and evaluated. I hear Gen Johns loves Apple, however upper management had no interest in exactly what the platform was, only what the capabilities were.
  15. Fat chance, as he's a Marine ground pounder. But maybe that field was closer to the General's crib, and the pilots wanted to please him so they could get a coin.
  16. Video...https://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/1805/3653422?title=broadcast_local_2
  17. Looks like BOTH of their runways are now closed UFN. Ouch! 07/008 - RWY 18/36 CLSD. WIE UNTIL UFN. CREATED: 20 JUL 17:58 2012 07/007 - RWY 4/22 CLSD. WIE UNTIL UFN. CREATED: 20 JUL 17:25 2012
  18. I'm sure you'd run into them @ Mons Venus tonight.

AMU will give you 9 credits for ACSC corr...depending on your degree plan. Add that to the 3 for SOS, and you are 1/3 complete without taking a single class. Work smarter, not harder.

I live near Andrews & was given the advice to stay away from anything in the area with 'Heights' in the name. Can't speak specifically of any you listed though, as I'm in rural MD.

I lived in Clovis for many years. I would stay in the area north of 21st St & east of Prince St for sure.
  22. While being vectored for an ILS to 3L @ Travis: Travis approach: "Quest 20, turn right heading 370." Smart ones they are.
  23. https://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123307563 Word on the street is that the zoo has been given the pre evacuation warning. Hoping for the best for everyone in that area.
  24. That's what I was going to say. I'm thinking he didn't get past his rec ride.
