That’s great and I wish it worked like that, but the realism of “Your job is going away. Deal with it.” likely will not get people elected who set policy and create tomorrow’s reality.

We have another thread for that.  Not this one.

Back in the 80's, I'm not so sure.  As a 2Lt FAIP in 1987, I recall shooting T-38A PAR approaches in to Corpus when it was 100' and 3/4 one day.  Legally.

TX was pretty bad for rapidly changing WX, it was only about 10 years ago they start letting T-38s shoot to published mins only at home station, were restricted about 100’ higher before that.  Did a form landing on the wing once at 100 and 1/2 during a Laughlin WX recall, legal when we started the approach, no where to go when established.  I prefer initial now, you can have the practice bleeding

  3. Anyone who get passed over, and can swing it, should leave for the ARC to get promoted.  Too many silly games and half truths by commanders to stick around that swamp.  I think your good deal train is over once that happens, maybe even a year or so before official notice.

additionally, any officer can get a great job on the outside, your bullshit OPR and PRF looks really good on a civilian resume, they don’t know any different, at least most of them.

The vast majority of illegals (roughly 2/3) arrive via legal means and then overstay their visa.

How does a wall keep this from happening?

The new talking point coming out of the left, doesn’t help the hundreds in the AZ desert that’s gets us called off the ranges.  Illegals wandering around a bombing range, with their visas in their pocket....yeah right.  Some of us see it with our own eyes, not on MSNBC.

Each unit is likely different, when you contact them they will let you know when is best to show up.  At my unit it's best to be there Friday afternoon and Saturday.  Sunday we are mostly in the vault all day and you won't get much interaction with the pilots.  BL it depends - talk to the contact at the unit you are rushing and they'll have more info for you.

    Same schedule at our unit.

And no sir sandwiches, we aren’t Marines.
