Funny, but not real. Believe it or not, I've actually ran two segments of 2004 Athens Summer Olympics torch relay. It's nothing like that video...there are support runners all around you, vehicles front and back (to include a media truck full of cameras that drives in front of the torch bearer) and guys on motorcycles cutting through the route ensuring each relay goes as planned. There is also a back-up in case a runner's torch gets extinguished. It happens on occasion, but the torch is simply re-lit and goes on. Samsung was the primary sponsor of the relay that year, and was kind enough to let us keep our torches (which cost about €300 apiece, if I remember correctly). Cheers! M2

It'll probably start with a call to ban hi-cap gas tanks. No one needs twenty gallons of gas, tanks should be no more than five gallons!

Last I heard it was a crash that injured the officer, but somehow shots were involved. But gunfire in the District of Columbia, say it isn't so! UPDATE: So a bad driver in DC and a possible over-reaction by the DC police (there was a child in the car, so I am not thinking it was a terrorist attack), who'd of thunk that?!?

I've driven the Explorer-based Interceptor, it's pretty impressive! Makes the old Crown Vics feel like boats, and even the Tahoes don't get close to handling as well... The biggest proplem with the Taurus-based Interceptors is that they are pretty confined inside once you get all the equipment installed.I wouldn't be surprised, considering Ford just released the new Police Interceptor this year based on the Taurus...That captain at the very beginning, getting his second kill, is Dick Pascoe; my first wing commander at Bentwaters...Took the wife to see it this afternoon, it wasn't bad but I see what you mean. Not as good as their prior efforts, but not a turd by any means...More info from XDTalk (emphasis mine)... I'm still waiting for all the hubbub to die down before sending mine in, and I will continue shooting/carrying it. I've loaded that thing enough that if there was really a problem, I'd know it by now...Got it to the range this morning, was pleasantly surprised at how well it shot! Sure, loading every round and having to manually cock it (STS) is a pain; but it's a accurate shooter! Plus, shooting three bucks of .22LR is a lot easier on the wallet than $23 worth of 7.62x39 (three mags). Keystone sells a scope mount for it, I might considering putting a cheap TASCO or BSA one on it. I also have some .22 CB rounds that should work in it, they are low muzzle velocity (between 350-700 ft/s, about the same as a pellet gun) but the actual bullet is significantly heavier than a typical airgun pellet and therefore carries more energy, so they are more lethal! They also have almost no report, so I could actually use 'em in the back yard without anyone knowing! It'd be a good way to get rid of that fucking cat that keeps pissing in our hedge! Cheers! M2Don't ask why, but I picked up one of these for a hundred bucks today... The front fiber optic sight was missing, but I quickly fixed that. The bore needed cleaning but it is a 2009 production pistol that's been unfired since bought, so it's still nice and shiny. Won't be able to get down to the coast this weekend, so it may be a week or so before this one ends up in the Gulf of Mexico... Cheers! M2
