  1. Engrish? I'll just leave this here, but TMO doesn't do any kind of inspection on your trailer...
  2. The JFTR actually has limits on your trailer size, and how it is constructed. I'm fairly certain I read that a fully enclosed trailer is not reimbursable for weight on a PPM. I recently PCSed and have a trailer, and the local TMO office mentioned to me that it can not be an enclosed trailer (if you want to be reimbursed for its weight). http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/Docs/perdiem/browse/Travel_Regulations/Regulations_Changes/Monthly/2011/JFTR/Change-290(02-01-11).pdf "4. HHG also include: h. A utility trailer, with or without a tilt bed, with a single axle, and an overall length of no more than 12 feet (from rear to trailer hitch), and no wider than 8 feet (outside tire to outside tire). Side rails/body no higher than 28 inches (unless detachable) and ramp/gate for the utility trailer no higher than 4 feet (unless detachable)." And read some more on here from post #185 and on...
  3. Bought my copy of MS Office 2011 sometime in Aug/Sep from ACC for $9.95.
  4. And those guys that just got separated at 15 years (the twice passed over Majors) are going to be PISSED, and rightfully so.
  5. Hueypilot and SuperWSO obviously don't have the "bigger picture".
  6. I could see tail number usage being important in the event of a suspected fuel contamination issue (track what fuel went to what plane), but for "billing purposes" it doesn't make sense. If you need to know who to send the bill to, then just tell them the wing you are assigned to, that should suffice. As for paying for the gas downrange, isn't it all AFCENT/GWOT money anyways?
  7. I'll get an extra $156 for my last two months of active duty... suckas!!
  8. There, now its pretty much completely accurate. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about ADPs anymore. What a waste. I even had an O-5 tell me they are worthless. He said guess how many of his assignments came from what he had on his ADP (ODP, T-ODP, whatever)? None. You really think AFPC (who really doesn't know you), gives a crap what your ADP says?
  9. Anytime someone is killed for no reason it sucks. But would this story have made the news if it happened in Detroit, MI?
  10. Real quick, does anyone know if they actually performed a barrel roll vs. an aileron roll?
  11. Great update to this thread. Although I'd probably go the "prove it was me/my wife" in the car route. The prosecution (state, city, etc) needs to prove you/your wife were/was operating the vehicle at that time. If they can't prove it, case dismissed on insufficient evidence. All the better if you have an alibi in this type of situation.
  12. Exactly! It seems like most of the posts in this thread are geared for people walking in with no prior military flying backgrounds. (Except for the above post haha) What's the interview process like for those of us that have already been flying active duty for a few years? Edit - Looks like it really depends on the unit. Some are like rushing a frat, some are very formal, and the rest are somewhere in between.
  13. I never had a problem with them, but if the AF is seriously looking at where it is spending its money unnecessarily then the FAC should've been gone long ago. We can be trusted with each other's lives, multi-million dollar pieces of equipment, nuclear weapons, etc, but we can't trust people with monitoring a PT test. The FAC is a pain trying to get tests scheduled, etc. So much nicer when you can just go to a UFPM in your SQ and say, "hey can we do my test in a few hours?" If 200+ AF pilots are getting cut, then FAC cells should've been gone last year.
  14. I think that's where you do your best to rent your house out and recoup what you can. Ask some of the other guard pilots from your unit what they did. You're not the first guy in that situation from your unit. Good luck.
  15. I think I'll wear black shirts on fridays...
