Loved going XC from Bitburg to either Furstenfeldbruck and/or Erding in the 70s for the Oktoberfest. “Springer” probably also remembers those Cold War days where we could pretty much do whatever, go wherever, under the guise of Training against the DRPCBs. (Dirty Rotten Pinko Commie Bastards). And, as back then in Germany, and back then in the US, there were a lot more “Hotties”. Now outnumbered by the 60% “Fatties” today. Delta has 130 million plus Medallion members alone. Say only a minuscule, 10,000, don’t spend $500-1000 a ticket for one year to protest. Well I think Delta will do the math. They will be offered early retirement to move on. Otherwise Pax will, now and then, ask who’s flying….

Mission was a success. And through out the Vietnam War, the French, bitter from their defeat there because we did not give any assistance to them holding their Colonies in SEA did everything to get back at the US. Their Embassy in North Vietnam shared our Target(s) Strike Packages to the NVA. Several friends were lost or ended in the Hilton. And I still believe “Bombs on Target, the rest is BS”.

Watch the 2016 movie The Congressman. The “Bellamy Salute” was brought up then early on. The Congressman, a Vet, is being hardly questioned about patriotism. Actor Treat Williams did a great job.
