Is there anyway to "mute" a particular user when looking at a thread?

Featured Replies

Is there a setting or some other method to not see a particular user when looking at threads?  A "block" or "mute" option?

For one member, when I put in their name I got an error message: "You are not allowed to ignore that member."

Just curious as to what the logic is for who can and can't be ignored?

PM me with the info.

Moderators (of which there are 12), are not by default allowed to be ignored. Many folks fall into multiple groups, but I think they only inherit "Can ignore" from the Moderator group. I've fixed your specific issue, @Blue

There isn’t a true “mute” option for users here. The best you can do is use the ignore feature in your account settings. It hides posts and messages from specific users, but you’ll still see their quoted replies in other posts. Not perfect, but it helps clean up threads a bit.
