I'm guessing there are a few people on here who are members. What's your take? Is the $50/year worth it?

I'm interested as well.  I got a membership to The Athletic when it was on sale.  Worth it if you like sports reporting.

Some of their content is good.  Most of it is faux-edgy Beltway/academia groupthink.

    Buy a membership if you'd like to support what they do, not for any extra content. They already publish great stuff without a paywall. 

    I only just recently started listening to some of their podcasts. Gen Dempsey gave a good interview. 

    Whether you think it's "faux-edgy Beltway/academia groupthink" or not, what you're getting from this podcast is a look into the minds of senior leadership and senior strategists.

    The Dempsey interview is what got me interested. You’re right; it seems like a pretty good look into what senior leadership is thinking.
