This guy perished by saving others and this fucking moron makes a political comment? UFB! I hope he gets dragged under By a rip tide and gets raped by coral repeatedly until he kills himself. 

 

You've got to be a damned good swimmer to go in rough water and save someone.. let alone multiple adults.  hats off to the guy for putting others' lives before his.

Knowing how often people die trying to save someone else, I'm not sure I'd have the same nerve as Mike unless my own kids were involved.

I didn’t know him personally, but Mike is a plank holder of the 319th SOS and will be missed by the U-28 community. 

Those currents in NWFL can be no shit, a friend of mine received the Airman’s Medal a few years back for saving three kids caught in a rip current off Okloosa Island.

I knew Mike & his family. Took me under his wing as a young pilot & was his neighbor for several years. 

Absolutely gut-wrenching.

If someone finds details on a memorial or fund before I do, please post.

Memorial was Friday.  He was simply put, a good man.
