I have been tasked with putting together my squadron's next First Friday. I have neither attended one nor know much about them. Looking to see what some of you have done in the past, or thought was fun and memorable.

Food either Pot luck or Burger burn or Pizza and wings. Throw the latest kids animation on in a main briefing room or main auditorium in sq. Mingle.

Are they having you do this in the squadron bar?  Or the OClub?

"Dead Bug" game could be fun, but I can also see plenty of people who would think that's silly.

The "dead bug" stories my dad has from his F4 squadron are hilarious. Sadly, I think in today's AF you are probably right that many would not buy into it

You also may want to check out hedonisticsexualdeviantfighterpilot.com for better ideas.

At both of my last bases we would alternate family friendly and adults (spouses were fine) every other month. We had some really good adults only ones. One of the best was a thrift shop prom that several of us smoked a whole hog and catered for and then had a "prom" where everybody wore their best thrift shop duds. We also did a Cinco De Mayo one that was pretty great. One of the better family friendly ones were a "tailgate" during fball season. The family friendly ones were lamer than the other ones typically, but they were fine.
