June 15, 201213 yr Thanks. I'll browse through all 142 pages to see if it clearly answers my question. I was hoping you could make a PowerPoint... Short answer, Part I is factual information and is releasable. It includes things like photos without analysis and names of people who were interviewed. It must not include analysis, privileged testimony, or findings. It is normally only released to the AIB. Example: photo of cockpit panel with gear handle up is factual and releasable. Same photo with person's finger pointing to the gear handle is privileged and is not releasable. If someone releases privileged information, they are subject to disciplinary action. You can now log off your annual privilege brief...

June 16, 201213 yr too soon but uh...yeah. Way too soon... ...however, I did have a beer at noon today I was hoping you could make a PowerPoint... <Good answer> You can now log off your annual privilege brief... Reference above.
June 17, 201213 yr So did anyone get disciplined for releasing that photo? What photo? The one from the C-17 did not have a finger in it. Therefore, releasable, no disipline.
June 17, 201213 yr What photo? The one from the C-17 did not have a finger in it. Therefore, releasable, no disipline. I wasn't referring to any specific incident. I could have said: Photo of penny wedged in circuit breaker panel...releasable. Photo of finger pointing to penny wedged into circuit breaker panel...not releasable. Just trying to make the difference between the SIB's Part I and Part II understandable.

I wasnt talking about you. Did you see who's post I quoted? Steve Davies, on 16 June 2012 - 07:15 AM, said: So did anyone get disciplined for releasing that photo? To which I responded: "What photo?"
June 17, 201213 yr Butters, decaf. Funny, that is exactly what the Army 1Lt here keeps telling me. I didn't know there was such a thing.
August 31, 201213 yr Are we still waiting for the AIB on this one, or did I miss something? The AIB is already out for the V22 crash back in June.
August 31, 201213 yr I was pretty sure there was an AIB for this one, but I could have been mistaken.
September 1, 201213 yr I know there was an SIB, we got briefed on it at home station. There's always an SIB, AIBs are optional.
September 1, 201213 yr There was an AIB. Not sure if it was been completed yet... and it's not classified.
September 1, 201213 yr There was an AIB. Not sure if it was been completed yet... and it's not classified. Any idea why it's taking so long? Seems disproportionately lengthy on this one.
September 1, 201213 yr Any idea why it's taking so long? Seems disproportionately lengthy on this one. Why do you care? SIBs out...SIB is for air crew.
September 1, 201213 yr Why do you care? SIBs out...SIB is for air crew. Stupid question...where would I go to look at the SIB?
September 12, 201213 yr Any idea why it's taking so long? Seems disproportionately lengthy on this one. The SIB had very little to go off of, and had a lot of theory, conjecture and "best guess" which may be holding up the AIB.
