Joe Public can take a tour:

How to request a group tour

Send an official request to the Nellis Air Force Base Public Affairs Office at fax (702) 652-9838 or by e-mail 99abw.pa@nellis.af.mil. Public affairs will call you for more information, if needed.

Tour Planning

Planning of your tour rquires the following information:

* All tours must provide their own bus transportation to the base and for the duration of the tour. Limit 3.

* A tour group must meet the minimum of 20 persons.

* Please make Public Affairs aware of any 0-6s and above as well as any distinguished award winners, POWs, etc., that will be accompanying your tour.

-------bunch of stuff I cut out to get to this------------------------

Your tour will take you to the “Petting Zoo,” the Air Force’s term for an area set aside to exhibit some of the “gadgets” they have developed or collected over the years; the flight line where you will see some of the world’s most advanced aircraft including a possible sighting of the newest aircraft in the United States arsenal, the F-22 super fighter; and, last but certainly never least, the Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron. This is a “don’t miss” opportunity!

Joe Public can take a tour:

I had the tour, only I was lucky enough to take it on my own and without either PA escort of someone watching the clock. I particularly liked the ROLAND.

AIR FORCE magazine did an article about Constant Peg this past April. You can read it here.

Like all the others, it's a crap article that does little to delve below the surface of this fascinating programme. There is much, much more to the squadron, if only people would spend a little time talking to the players behind it.

Steve,

I just borrowed the book from my boss...Mr. Jack Manclark.

Spoo

Thanks for letting me know. I hope that it was well-thumbed and tattered around the edges when Jack handed it to you!

He was instrumental in the declassification of Constant Peg, and a key figure in allowing me the privilege of writing about the programme.

I hope you enjoy the book, and please tell Jack I say hello when you next speak to him. :salut:

Cheers

Steve
