From a benefit vs. risk comparison I just cannot come up with any metric that would make this a good idea. A non AR 777 can go 14 plus hours and that is an awful experience. Who the F wants to sit in a 737 for 18 plus hours?

ATC will not route civilian IFR traffic through and active MOA. VFR traffic including those receiving flight following are free to do as they please. ATC might advise you that you are traversing an active MOA when VFR but they are not required to provide separation.

Same experience here. Relatively painless. Had a question about the paperwork. Email was answered within an hour.

No expert but I am pretty certain the FMC and the IFE system never speak to each other. Could be wrong though. Going to talk to our avionics people Monday and see what they have to say.

Couple moths ago a small plane came to the same grief on a local golf course also situated right off the end of a runway. Sole occupant not really injured. Emergency crews got there and secured the area for investigation. I am told that after a couple days of waiting with no investigation the golf course cut the wings off and moved the airplane out of the way.

Surprisingly not much. I did an empty flight the other day and was off in around 2500'. With 24K motors You can get off a 5000' strip at near max gross.
