2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
Congratulations I’m so happy for you. I contacted the board earlier in the week actually I believe it was last week to try and advocate for a buddy of mine who was picked up and got helicopters and I wanted to see if there was any possibility to see if we can get him switched over to a fixed wing slot, considering the shortage, but I got told was that the program manager is currently trying to advocate for more people from the UFT list to be considered to help try and fill some of the slots. My body was notified three days ago that he was swapped from helicopters over to fixed wing and the fact that you just got notified sounds like they’re starting to look more at the UFT list

So I’m currently driving to Columbus to drop off two of my vehicles about a week ahead of my PCS. But the information that I can pass along is that once your dates get loaded anybody in your CSS shop should be able to look at your MILPDS records and see what training you’re loaded for additionally, if you don’t know what base you got you can do the EFMP hack on VMPF essentially what you do is you start a new application and you go all the way to the end make sure you don’t hit submit and you will see your projected assignment and then once you see that just go ahead and remove your EFMP application. Lastly, from what my experience was, you’re gonna get an email from the transition flight at whatever base you’re going to to let you know that you’ve been scheduled for IPT and it will have the location on it. I know there are locations in Orlando Pensacola Atlanta, Denton, Texas, and San Marcos Texas. I don’t know if they’re still using the ones out in Arizona. Sorry for any typos I’m currently driving and using Siri

2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
Hey everyone, please take what I’m about to say with the smallest piece of a grain of salt. I have a buddy who got picked up for officer training school and is there right now and graduates in a few weeks. When he got picked up, he got selected for RPA even though his number one was manned Pilot. He sent me a message this morning and said that he was just offered a Pilot slot and he took it in ots. I’ve heard of something happening like this before a few years ago, but it was super rare. I asked him how this happened and that I was super happy for him and he said that him and nine other people were pulled into a room with the commandant and the commandant informed them that the Air Force needs 150 more pilots and that he’s giving them the opportunity to switch from the job that they currently have to Pilot. With that being said, I don’t know that it would affect any alternates that may have been selected for this board, but if the Air Force exhausts all of its pipelines for training that could be an opportunity for more people to get picked up if they were an alternate and that’s just my assumption. This is not based on anything official.

No. I haven’t gotten a RIP yet but I checked my CDB and saw dates under projected training and a course code. I went to my UTMs to see if they could look up course code and they looked at my MilPDS and saw all my IPT and UPT dates and my front office saw I populated on the loss roster with a RNLTD of 13 April.- 2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD

Just want to let y'all know, one of my buddies received a RIP today with a RNLTD of 31 Aug to Laughlin and training starting in Oct. He may have gotten a RIP because of a humanitarian thing he's going through but just wanted to give y'all something to look forward to....look for those RIPs soon. I asked where did his RIP come from and he said his front office and probably because of the humanitarian thing.- 2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD

In the theme of “keeping it real” I’m not saying I disagree with what you’re saying, however after being in the military for close to 11 years now, being in limbo with a set expectation of 30-60 days of hearing something back and going past that isn’t okay. I didn’t myself reach out to the board but my CC would like to know what’s going on. A training RIP and Assignment are two different things as well. Additionally, going past 60 days with no update can be a bit stressful for people with families who have to plan an entire PCS. I would say, at the very least send a message out to all those who are waiting to hear something of what could be a hold up and etc… this would curb the anxiety and impatience that some people may have. Lastly, there are people in career fields who have to continually progress and in order for those people to progress they need to go through upgrades and etc… It would be a bit stressful for someone to start an upgrade and maybe take a spot from someone else only to receive an assignment half way through an upgrade and have to stop to get ready for a PCS. I hope that makes sense. No shade, but I think in this scenario, at least an updated expectation email or notification can be sent out instead of radio silence. I had a buddy selected last year and said it was the same thing and he didn’t get any info for two months until he reached out to ask for an update.- 2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD

Nope, but I did talk to my first sergeant and my commander today and I told him that I was going to send the board an email asking if there was any indication as to when we would start seeing anything but my commander told me that he’ll reach out. I was also told by one of my other friends who got picked up that we will potentially start hearing stuff by the end of the week, but I just don’t think it’s cool to have people waiting this long when there are people who have families and need to start planning to make sure their family is going to be set up.- 2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
Coming from the rated community, it will be extremely competitive. Also, depending on which base you’re at can make it more competitive too. I’m going to be honest, having a 70 PCSM is going to be tough to get a good Strat or even an endorsement to submit. The people I went up against were all in the 90’s with their PCSM. I had a 98 PCSM and was able to get stratted #1 out of sq/gp/wg because of my prior enlisted experience and a good chunk of other things I’ve done. There was someone with a 99 PCSM but not the same experience. I won’t put on Capt until 27. Send me a message on here and I’ll help any way I can. But I would suggest looking at getting those rated scores up.- 2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD

Another week of silence down. Hopefully start hearing something next week. Just wish we had some indication of where we were going. My leadership kinda has me in this limbo state where I don’t really have a shop job and I just finished my last upgrade and I’m not being put in any more upgrades. - 2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
