Been closely monitoring for over 18 months now….it ebbs and flows at each legacy. Had buddies get called from DAL 6-9 months out but nothing from AA For 2-3 months and UA 3-4. I got a UA CJO 8 months out. YMMV. Unless you’re within 30 days of terminal and haven’t heard anything you’ve got nothing to worry about and if you are in that situation you’re probably a bob that had piss poor planning anyway.

You’re right I’m not okay with the 98 percent survival rate. But fortunately by you’re own population numbers it’s actually 99.94 percent survivable worldwide and 99.75 percent survivable in the US. Spoiler alert, getting on your motorcycle has worse odds than that - so yeah I’m good with those numbers

Yeah hey agreed…fortunately for me mine was only out about 96hrs, and she held coffee under my nose… They claimed at my base that it was to know that you could smell “smoke or fumes” or whatever in the cockpit. This was about a year ago, so things may be different now FWIW

Standard post Covid RTFS. Expect an EKG and a 60 second sit - stand exercise with a Pulse O2 sensor on. It basically can’t drop more than like 5 percent from baseline during the 60 second exercise. There was also a smell test, made me close my eyes and tell them what they had in their hand

I think this is a good thing, the sooner we can get to 1M+ per day while deaths remain below 2k per day or decrease even further the sooner we can realize COVID for what’s it’s become…the common cold, and within 9 months everyone will have had it. Before anyone tries to get on their high horse about “PEoPle ArE DyInG ItS NoT A CoLd”….colds and their symptoms (aka coronaviruses) have been killing people for millennia

Tend to agree…I know 4 pilots at our base refusing the vaccine…harsh truth be told, 4 out of 4 are at best average pilots and slightly below average people - they won’t be missed, the community won’t feel their loss - time to move on.

You asked your HARM or SARM? Our HARM said they could only pull 18mo like you said but I just got a print out from SARM that went back to 2017 2 weeks ago…don’t ask me why they would be using 2 different systems - no clue. It is a different format but just had a buddy interview at DAL with no issues. To be honest the new format looks cleaner anyways

Alright I keep seeing statements like this claiming that the left is all vax’d up and good to go while the right is just refusing. A 30 second look at vaccine demographics shows that the young and minorities have much lower vax take rates across the country, and quite frankly it doesn’t take a political scientist to know which political leaning those demographics have. So unless I’m missing something based on demographics alone the argument that support of Biden or liberal policies correlates to getting a vaccine is flawed at best based on data alone. My personal take on it is that it’s time to move past the vaccine/not vaccine, mask/no mask discussion… The vaccine is free and widely available, get it if you want, don’t if you don’t. Wear a mask if you want, don’t if you don’t. Don’t come crying to me when you get COVID, and I won’t come crying to you when I can’t have kids in 3 years. Make your personal choice and let’s get back to business. Hopefully this policy stays local to us so no one else has to deal with this painful step backwards

Agree, context needed. 10 bucks says this is a community with enlisted flyers. Used to fly with those bros, lotta good dudes, but a lotta holier than thou attitudes as well. No E flyers in my squad now and my jaw would drop if I heard anyone ask a Capt or Lt this.
