  1. This morning, notifications via email for an initial video interview.
  2. DC interview notifications went out, for those still waiting.
  3. Anybody know if Buckley is having a board this year?
  4. Can confirm, heard back from Blitz this week. Board is now November.
  5. Me and some others have already received rejections from Fort Wayne, so I know at least some have gone out.
  6. Yeah, that's probably a more likely situation. Well, if that is the case, best of luck to everyone interviewing. My thought process was that typically, it becomes a topic of conversation once invitations are sent out, and the relative silence about it was odd. But like I said, due to how close it is, they're probably already out.
  7. This has been a topic of conversation amongst a group of us... from what I understand, nobody has heard back. At least, of those of us that I know applied.
  8. Yes. Not trying to be rude, we've all been there, but don't be afraid to scroll up or do a google search.

  11. As someone that was previously in the PLC program, I can tell you that getting an air slot is incredibly easy. You take the Navy/USMC version of the TBAS, and if you score high enough, you're slotted as "air." The hard part becomes getting the actual board, but it's no harder than qualifying for AFROTC -- good gpa, lots of PT, etc. I'm not a military member, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I know from hanging around these forums that the USMC does not use the same drop night logic that the AF does. Sometimes there's a plethora of fighters, sometimes there's none. Maybe evaluate how okay you are with fixed wing?
  12. I visited and got mixed responses. Seems like late Spring-early Summer.
  13. Indiana: is not allowing visits due to ops tempo New Orleans: hires 3 people per board Will keep everyone updated on whatever comes my way
  14. Awesome! Great atmosphere, great pilots, great selectees. Honestly haven't been around a better representation of the guard/family atmosphere.
  15. Any information yet on what exactly happened? Prayers for him and his family. 🍺
  16. Lol well, I got to ask them that in the debrief! Apparently, the answer was more about reflecting that this is my life, and that I’d do everything I could to become a Viper pilot somewhere. They said that I didn’t exude the qualities of a fighter pilot, I don’t wanna run out and jump in the jet. So, without being bitter, it became evident that the answer is making it crystal clear that you only want one thing in life, which is to be a fighter pilot.
  17. Nah, guys that had been around said Tulsa was the only place that announced selection the morning after.
  18. What I can remember from Tulsa at the moment In 30-90 seconds, tell me about yourself Mental math question varied from person to person, mostly multiplication and division Identify: F-15, F-16, F-18, T-38, T-6, SU-27, U-2, B-1, Robin Olds Why you and not the other guys? What will you do if we don't hire you? Where are you in 10 years? Video: you just killed 7 people. How do you feel? How will you interact with the enlisted? How can you improve interactions with the enlisted? I see a lot of knowledge on your resume; teach me something We talked to the person who hates you the most/likes you the least. What would they say, and why? Would you rather fight a horse sized duck, or 100 duck sized horses? Will edit if I remember more
  19. Good thing is, every single guy that got considered was ing phenomenal, and I’m nothing but proud and happy for them. Just gonna keep grinding.
  20. I know. It’s not as bad as you think though. Objectively, nothing. But as I have quickly learned, fighters want you to literally be ready to kill someone to be a fighter guy, so saying anything other than “fighters” is wrong. I didn’t say I’d do airlines after I got there, I said if I didn’t get this board I’d end up working at the regionals while I continued applying, but in the interview debrief they said that was the kiss of death because it showed I wasn’t committed and didn’t exude the fighter mentality. Negative. Over half their pilots are airline guys. It was a “fighter guy” mentality issue, not a reality issue.
