  3. in 2013, the CAF DT asked the ACC/A3 point blank about instituting a flying-only career track...he proceeded to defecate all over the idea.."not in my Air Force!". It's in the transition from O-6 to O-7 that people lose their minds.
  4. The other factor in targeting cycle in OFS/ORS is that targeting goes through the Afghan ministry of defense. Imagine how efficient that organization is. As far as whether Army is trying to take over interdiction...there really isn't classical interdiction out here. Where is the FSCL?

  7. I left an engineering job at 25, because I didn't want to spend the rest of my youth in an office and wonder "what might have been". So, 18 years later, has is been worth it? Despite many frustrations, yes. You will work with, and compete against, the best this human race has to offer. There will be days full of suck, undoubtedly, but you only get one chance to be part of the team that makes the scum of the earth evaporate...hold nothing back!

  9. I think the short bonus is a "stop the bleeding" measure. Because it's proven that the AF won't meet long-term retention goals with the 5 or 9 yr bonuses, then the short term bonus hopefully keeps enough dudes around to maintain current readiness, while planning for future force structure.
  10. OH boy...sounds like code for converting them to "12X required". That should work out lie an absolute champ, because we apparently only need 22x 12X's anyway.
  11. See your Grp exec--every Senior Rater has different idiosyncrasies and techniques. Knowing these ahead of time would help cut down the edit time for everyone up the chain. It would be in your leadership's best interests to advertise such techniques for this very reason. Good luck
