Did you get an email from one of the Recruiting & Retention NCOs confirming that your package was received? If not, you might want to follow up with them. If you did then I wonder if maybe they just made a mistake and didn't put you on the distribution list. I can PM you the info if you want.

I am in the same boat.  I got the email on 1APR17 that my package was received, but did not received the email on the 18th

Yes, I have my PPL with about 65 hours.

Awesome, keep racking up the hours.  That will only help you in the application process through test scores as well as looking good on a resume.  Start working towards your instrument and commercial ratings as well.  The more ratings and hours you have, the better you will look on paper.

@Sit On Acorns and @JustHangingOut I'm in the same boat. Did you two send it without dashes in the e-mail, or with the dashes?

I sent mine with dashes.  It uploaded and sent just fine.  No kick backs.

I am just waiting for notification of the recipient downloading the file.  However, since mine was last minute...I wouldn't expect it to be downloaded just yet.

For those who applied to D.C. - how long did it take for them to download your application? I uploaded mine a few days before the deadline and I have confirmed & reconfirmed (at least 10 times) that the email I input is correct, but the status on the site is still showing as 'Not Downloaded'. My friend is applying as well and his was downloaded within 24 hours, so this has me a bit nervous. I don't want to reach out to them to ask since they were pretty straightforward about not doing that in regard to file status.

    Thanks for any help.

I only submitted mine yesterday so hopefully yours and mine will get pulled down at the same time

Reading AFI 36-2005 might help, since it is the ref that prescribes the form.

Also, the official AF Form 24 can be found at http://www.e-publishing.af.mil/?txtSearchWord=Af24&btnG.x=14&btnG.y=11&client=AFPW_EPubs&proxystylesheet=AFPW_EPubs&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&output=xml_no_dtd&site=AFPW_EPubs

Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

Thanks for the pub reference and the link.  I had gone her in the past but I did not work for me in the past.  It may have been the network that I was on at the time.

  7. Hey Folks,

I tried the search feature and could not find my answer.  I have a fillable AF Form 24 pdf as well as an "example" that I found from a google search which has helpe me with most of it.  However, section 17 asks for the "chronological statement of service and training in any component of the uniformed services (include service academies and preparatory schools, rotc, ots, health professions scholarship, etc)"

Do they essentially want me to put my whole Army unit stationing and schools in these 5 blocks?  Or do I put in the first block, "Iv been in the army for this long and currently this unit, and below are my most relevant schools for this pilot gig?"

P.S.  If anyone needs a black fillable PDF AF Form 24, let me know and I will send it to you.

Numbers could be good or pretty darn good depending on what you are going for (Fighters or Heavies). Your rated numbers (Pilot 94, PCSM 94) are excellent. I've seen people get selected with numbers lower than yours. AFOQT is not everything. Just make sure the rest of your package is on point to make up for the lower scores and ultimately, your personality and attitude will determine if you are the best fit with the unit you are applying to. Best of luck to you.

thanks for the advice.  I am going for fighters, but if that doesn't work out....I'm not opposed to heavies....

I am also hoping that me being relatively local (1.5hr drive) to the unit works in my favor as well.

  9. AFOQT: Pilot (94), Nav (77), Acad Aptitude (54), Verb (70), Quantitative (41)

    PCSM: 94

I am already a rated military pilot, and am looking to go blue.  I am applying for an Air National Guard unit and just gathering all my paperwork up for their application packet.

How do my numbers look after my first run of everything....keep in mind...I haven't been in college since 2008 which is probably why some scores were not to great.

  10. ...before I ask my question...does anyone else have a hard time not thinking of sea bass from dumb and dumber every time they say TBAS?

anyways, I'm taking the TBAS tomorrow, are the simulators for the multitasking portion touch screen?

any last minutes advice you guys can give?

i have read a bunch in the thread and have been studying the orientation flash cards that have been linked numerous times.  Thanks to all the folks that created and link that resource.
