  1. Wow how many and how long for the Ukrainians to set that up? I can't believe the Russians haven't figured out that if you don't have ISR/surveillance watching the routes the other side will leave all kinds of little presents. The only other option is cross country.
  2. And "she" has a manicure. Article in Cosmo "How I shoot vile Russian invaders and never break a nail" Hopefully after noticing that detail I can still keep my man card.
  3. Still just as funny as the first time I saw it.
  4. In a VERY different time and higher altitude but it gives an idea of what could happen. I can only imagine what the effect would be on our modern digital world versus 1962 Starfish Prime - Wikipedia
  5. Well I doubt most civil aircraft are nuclear hardened. Or many other critical systems. So I'd say hardly innocuous
  6. Nope, not at all.😲 As long as he has troops all over Ukraine I'm slightly less worried about WMD use. When/if he starts a large scale "pullout" sts there's no telling if he's really throwing in the towel or planning on smoking the place. Pay attention to the weather forecast for days the wind is blowing away from Russia.
  7. This so pisses me off. I don't want my opponents to know what or how much I have until it flies up his A$$. Same for the numbers of Javelins etc. Ivan can count them by numbers of vehicles destroyed. Press thinks they can print anything.
  8. Up to 40,000 Russian soldiers killed, wounded, captured or MIA in Ukraine, NATO estimates (msn.com) Damn. If this is even close to true there's no way Russia can sustain this for long. Eventually word gets back to the families what's happening.
  9. Crispy Critters. Took me a bit to see the actual track of the missile from the upper right
  10. Biden confirms Russia used hypersonic missiles, warns of coming cyberattacks on US: Live Ukraine updates (msn.com) Kinzhal as I read it can carry either nuclear or conventional warhead. Scary not even knowing what's coming your way in the relatively brief time it could be tracked.
  11. And we think a letter of reprimand is bad
  12. One of Murphys Laws of Combat "The easy way is always mined"
  13. How hard is it to wet lease a B-52, crew and load of ALCMs to Ukraine 🇺🇦? Does that count as an act of aggression on our part
  14. This should be in the Farmers Hall of Claims
  15. I guess passing 300 posts makes me "Supreme User" 😁What do I win? I like Jameson. In this day and age even in Russia I would say eventually the truth finds its way out. Nothing stays a secret for long.
  16. Ukraine says it successfully attacked Russian vehicles in Kyiv thanks to a Telegram tip (msn.com) Modern targeting via social media. How the world has changed.
  17. A whole lot of combined arms doctrine will need to be looked at when this is all over.
  18. Muddy fields sure come in handy to slow maneuver too. GO TEAM BLUE & YELLOW!!!!
  19. And in a moment of levity sometimes we forget to get away from the emotion and remember it really is about the nail.
  20. Good breakdown by Ward Carroll on No Fly Zones. Apologies if it's already been posted.
  21. Russia Vows Prosecution of Foreign Fighters After 16K Join Ukraine (newsweek.com) Not that volunteering was ever a safe endeavor and certainly not surprised.
  22. Pawnman, ClearedHot all others, I admit I sit here with my more than a couple drink(s) wondering how the hell it got to this point. Do we allow Putin to use nuclear blackmail to keep us on the sidelines ad infinitum and if he gets away with it here where does he stop? I HATE to think we as NATO in general and we as a country in particular have no choice now but to take him the fight directly. God help us one and all.
  23. I don't have access to the BAM (Big Assed Map) showing (closer to real time) what's happening where in Ukraine but it appears the cities under greatest siege are close to unfriendly international borders or the Black Sea. In a nod to Captain Obvious much shorter supply lines and actually in range of systems located outside of Ukraine. If this is the farthest the Russians can push after this amount of time I don't see how they subdue the whole country. Short of the once unthinkable. Never been to Ukraine but looking at the map the Dnieper and associated lakes and bodies of water basically splits Ukraine down the middle and that certainly doesn't make it easier. I have no idea what can use it as far as navigability especially in wartime.
  24. Many years ago I saw her in OKC. Really a thing of beauty. The cargo deck felt like a gymnasium. Say what you will about the Russians but they do understand heavy lift. Another example is the MI-26 Helicopter.
