    Go on.... please.

You can Skillbridge for up to six months. I chose to do four. On Skillbridge you’re essentially PTDY still making all your AD pay and benefits while working as an unpaid intern at whatever company you’re Skillbridging with. I got my ATP out of it, paid for by the company I was working with, and I’m working full time for them now after leaving AD.

  2. If I can offer you one word… Skillbridge, my dude…there aren’t a shit ton of pilot focused Skillbridge opportunities out there, but there are some. Seems like most are in the 135 world. I did it, and it almost felt like cheating…almost…to be making AD pay for four months while going to a job where I literally just had to fly.

not to mention shit like this:

a christian nationalist quoting an old book of parables with regards to (possible nuclear) war...certainly not radical 🙄

Here’s a thought on the topic of hypocrisy…this individual, who claims to be so pious and devout, has her head shoved completely up the ass of a man who is both a wanton misogynist and an adulterer…but you could say the same for the majority of the evangelical right.

This is what was great about the mighty Phantom's "Rotate for Dummies".  You started the TO roll with full aft stick and let the a/c decide when to rotate.

I thought the Phantom was deemed so ugly, the ground just decided when to repel it.

As if to pour a little salt in the wound, the White House has banned Religious-themed designs from the White House Easter egg art contest tomorrow.

Which is tone deaf and stupid, since Easter is one of the most religiously steeped holidays of the year.

But mostly I'm just tired of the Baby Boomers upending every system for their financial advantage then acting shocked that other generations don't appreciate being left the tattered ruins of a once functional societal pact.

Damn…writing this one down for future use!

  7. I never got to go to UPT. Did the CSO thing, and had a good time in the Buff for over a decade. Covered most the Pacific, sent some ISIS goons to goat paradise. You can still fly and have a good career. Or…

I got my CFI, taught on the side and built hours. Now I’ve got my ATP and I’m flying charter, building lots of time and trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up 😂

You’re going to have opportunities, no matter what.

What problem are they trying to fix? We don’t have enough MAJCOMs IMHO, C2 and big ISR should be in its own MAJCOM. Get rid of NAFs and Groups instead.

Wait, I got it!  Rated retention!  If we don't have so many staffs, we don't have to man them, and all those non-command track O-4 and O-5 IPs can go back to flying the line!!

So, he fires off his latest documents and the HR department makes the comment "can not use the term "disable" as it is not inclusive."

Since it's TI, I'm assuming his use of the term "disable" is in the technical sense, as in "disable the equipment"....YGBSM....we're living in straight up 1984.  Double plus ungood

Because f*ck anyone that doesn't work a normal day shift schedule.

No more late night beer runs — AAFES to end overnight alcohol sales in 2024

In a move aimed at suicide prevention. stores on Army and Air Force bases worldwide will stop selling alcohol after 10 p.m. Beer, wine, and spirits will only be sold between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. at all Base Exchanges, Shoppettes, Express shops, Class Six, and other stores run by AAFES.

So let’s not address the real causes. Overworked, under resourced, constant pressure to do more with less, ops tempo that’s higher than it was when we were actually fighting a war…nope, overnight beer sales are the cause.

I despise the retards in the GO ranks as much as the next guy, but I think the more accurate way to look at it is we’re prioritizing capabilities on a constrained budget. I also want to own 6-9 airplanes, but my wife reminds me I have to prioritize what “mission” I want. This isn’t me advocating for wiping out everything that’s not “west of Taiwan,” but it is prudent to address China as our #1 priority, and that’s going to mean we can’t afford to keep everything we’ve historically had the past 30-40 years.

Agreed.  I just wish we weren't giving away everything now, with none of the replacement capes expected to be on the ramp in maybe even this decade.
