You returned home to reintegration checklists, more OREs, ORIs, more wing staff meetings, and fewer flying hours. Squadron exec, group exec, wing exec, DTS expert, MICT chief. It wasn’t easy and it only got more challenging, but still, you continued to serve because you had an ADSC. Competing everyday with finance, comm, and MPF to complete the most basic of tasks. While looking out for your teammates, your wingmen, your family, and your nation.
For being willing to strap on your nation’s business, for the sacrifices you and your families have made, and the sacrifices you will make. Thank you. We’re the best damn Air Force on the planet in spite of ourselves, and with you as a min-running TR in the Command Post, our slides are still gonna show green.

Don't worry about it. I kept personal logs because I'm OCD like that. You can walk into any airline interview with your ARMS records and (maybe) a basic Excel conversion/assumptions sheet and be fine.

Search for milcomp. You get it all automatically.

You land, debrief, log in to three different computers to find one that works, you do your post mission paperwork, and it's now 2am. Are you gonna drive home?

Dunno. I didn't watch the iterations that carefully and I don't commute more than 100 miles any more. I just know my HR Block tax quiz (spoiler alert: I barely passed) asked me about my Reserve commute so it seems they knew about the 2018 law.

If you're going to fly, stay AF. The aviation grass isn't greener in other services. Except maybe CG, but they have their own issues.

Make sure you're talking to CAP-USAF, not CAP.

A CAP-USAF Cat E just made O-6, so it's not impossible. Same formula as anywhere else: PME, AAD, work the boss recognizes and appreciates. The aforementioned O-6 select spent WAY more time on his Reserve job than several Cat Es combined, took great care of his people, and totally deserved the promotion.
Most Cat Es that make O-5 will do so based off their career/strats/OPRs prior to leaving a more active position. There's plenty of PRF-fodder work to do as a CAP-USAF dude; most don't want to do it because that's why they're a Cat E in the first place.
I've been told explicitly that as long as you can get 20 good years in 21 or 22 (?) years you won't get booted as a twice passed over Major. There was something about it that could mess you up, but most of us wouldn't fall into that.

Let's just say it's obvious he has no insider information. Probably a recreational pilot because he falsely extrapolates light piston operations to airline operations, which leads him to a questionable conclusion.
