Nice commie weapon, M2. Here's another one of a kind Colt. There is just under a month left in the auction, so you all have time to bid. 1911 Master Engraved Colt 100th Anniv. Edition

Should Drinking Age for Military Personnel Be Lowered to 18?
Wrong. If someone makes a claim, they are expected to provide the evidence. ETA: That said, LJ answered my question adequately with his other response.

Should Drinking Age for Military Personnel Be Lowered to 18?
That's exactly why I questioned his claim.

Should Drinking Age for Military Personnel Be Lowered to 18?
Do you have evidence or any data to back up this claim?

M2 beat me to it. I told the wife that I am obligated to buy another 1911 today to honor the 100th anniversary.

I want to see that movie.

Thanks, BF. I have no intention of buying an M&P. I am happy with what I have. I was just curious how simple it was since the striker block is held in place by the rear sight.

It only makes sense to you because I was a Political Science major as well. Kind of like the blind leading the blind.

When I had my PHA last year, those questions were a part of the survey. I declined to answer.

Thanks, I was just curious. I don't think I will buy a different handgun design anymore as I already have to deal with SIG, Beretta, Glock, 1911s, and Hi Powers. I need to just focus on one of those now.

Nevermind... Beaver, did you find removing the rear sight on your M&P a pain in order to install the new striker block?

M2, your Communist stockpile is no match for my arsenal of freedom. Anyway, sweet find. Brick, good review. The M&P series of handguns are some of the best service/duty/defense pistols you can buy. You should be able to use your finger to move the sear lever during takedown if you don't want to use the tool. I was able to on the M&P45 I owned. The joint in the trigger is actually a "trigger safety" similar in function, but different in execution, to Glock's safe action trigger. The lower piece of the M&P trigger has to be pulled in order to actually fire.

I like the Magpul MOE. It is ergonomic, light, and you can add small rail attachments to it so you can still attach lights, grips, and other stupid shit off the front of the rifle if you want. As you can see on my Noveske, I am not even using the rails right now. I mentioned that I'll be adding a light to it and my forward sling attachment will be on the rails too, but that still leaves a lot of unused rail space and weight. The MOE solves this problem. ETA: I prefer the fixed FSP, but that is just me. I have them on the 4 ARs I own. It does not distract me when I am using the red dots on my Noveske or BCM either.

It is free floating. The VIS is a one piece upper with the rail structure free floating the barrel. I even mentioned that in the previous post, but I forgive you Stoleit. Personally, however, I do not think a free float rail is necessary for a 16" or shorter but YMMV. In fact, my BCM just uses a midlength MOE handguard.

Here is my Noveske I bought about a year ago. It's a 14.5" carbine with chrome lined CHF barrel. The upper receiver is the Vltor Versatile Interface Structure (VIS), which is a monolithic free floating rail upper. At the rear of the lower receiver is Noveske's QD attachment endplate. I am using a gear sector single point sling right now, but I am going to change to one of their two point slings. I will show a picture with those attachment points later. It is sporting an EoTech 512.A65 (no NV function). I like EoTech but prefer Aimpoint. My Aimpoint Comp M4s is sitting on my BCM, however. I like the rifle in its current configuration, and I will be adding a Surefire scout to it in the near future. FYSA, Noveske just recently changed their 14.5" CHF rifles from carbine to midlength gas systems. Here is a pic of one of my Colt 1911s. It is the Special Combat Government Carry model, one of the flagship pistols. I have had it in previous pics, but this looks a little better and it is alone.

Good idea. My Noveske came with a Vltor improved modstock, and I really enjoy the extra real estate for a solid cheekweld.

Nice! I have a SA M1A as well, but I left it in its original configuration. I like it a lot, even if it is expensive to shoot. With that said, I wish they chrome lined their barrels though. I see you upgraded with some Sadlak stuff, very nice. Anyway how heavy is it with the Troy MCS? I know I asked why you had a PRS on the carbine, and I have to ask now have you shot it in that configuration? What are you going to do with the PRS when you take it off the carbine?

WTF? (**NSFW**)
I noticed that. I've been looking for another vid, thanks for the info. Apparently he and the other kid were suspended from school. Some local news link I got from Google ETA: Even though he fucked that kid up pretty good, I think that's kind of a WTF that he gets suspended because he defended himself.

Nice pistol. Have you shot it yet?
