  1. I went through an initial qual and never received a RIP. On virtual MPF my only remaining ADSC is pilot training which expires next year. The initial qual would extend that commitment another year. I went to the local MPF and they told me there is nothing in the system and I'd be able to bounce next year. Do I need to be concerned about big MPF screwing me, can they assess me the 3 year even though I never signed anything? And is there a way I can find out early so leadership doesn't see my cards?
  2. I'm scheduled with Downtown in June. Does anyone have ground eval study gouge?
  3. My favorite part is we have seen back to back decreases here.....sooo 03 year group 0-4's make about $65/mo more, and 04 year group 0-4's that have already pinned on will make $6/mo more than the 04 year group that have not pinned on due to AF's great cost saving measures......in addition the latter guys will compete with people who have been 0-4's for up to 18 months longer at their 0-5 board......no, I have no idea why people are pulling chocks......
  4. I've looked through the JFTR (not finding anything) seem to remember being told there is a minimum (30,60,or 90 days (can't remember which)) that one is entitled between returning from deployment and RNLTD of a PCS. My situation is I'm leaving for 160 days and have not been given my RNLTD of my PCS that will happen this summer. Depending on the RNLTD (b/c one hand rarely talks to the other) I want to be informed to bring up the point of either cutting the deployment short or extending the RNLTD.
  5. Does anyone know the minimum time between TDY and PCS? Looking for the reg
  6. Going for a staff gig, have to wear shoe clerk duds
  7. I'm curious what the normal stateside requirement for number of ABU required. I'm deploying in January, as of 1 October the base has stopped issueing ABU. I'm having to buy 4 pair. I thought (can't find a reg to verify) that we were required to have 2 sets. Does anyone know if there is a reg that outlines this? If this is true, seems CENTCOM should pick up the tab for the other two sets.
  8. Not completely true. It is true that it works the same at ENJJPT and UPT, but it is possible to graduate T38's and not be fighter qual'd. I don't know what the numbers are to decide that, or if it is merely subjective, but I do know that it is possible.
  9. Congrats Razor, now get your crap out of the flight room so someone else can fly the mighty tweet.....
  10. I'll be nearing my 29th B-day when I get my wings, I know there was a recent thread on weapon school, but Toro you mentioned the age/rank issue with Weapon School. I'm still only a 2d Lt, so are they going to actually look at my age in that equation if I get in the position to try for weapon school?
  11. It's also commander's discretion on this one, and also the availability of the dorms and housing. My buddy got to Sheppard in November and was allowed to get off base, or get onbase housing. He chose off base, but he didn't get married until Jan. He did have to get commander approval on that one though.
  12. Eagledriver, First I have to agree with vetter, might want to check that screenname, even if you got picked up for guard and are "going" to 15's, I doubt many eagledrivers will be in a hurry to let you in their lil club if you don't even have any tweet time. Pay, I'm 2Lt, no dependents, I have the max SGLI and I'm a Texas resident. My take home every paycheck is about 1042.00. I use my cell phone so I don't have a phone installed, and cable basic is like 10 bucks, extended cable is another 32 bucks. High speed internet is 30 bucks. They have a deal right now where you get the 3M down for 30/month and then it goes to 49/month, but at the end of 6 months you can switch to 1M down and keep it at 30/month. The rest of the bills are based on your spending habits.
  13. I saw it, don't expect Oscar winning performances, because it isn't acting, it's pretty much a documentary on Red Flag. That being said, very good photage, gives a good glimpse of Red Flag (that will have to be commented on by someone that has attended RF) I enjoyed it based solely on getting a better idea of what RF does, and the video in flight.
  14. Ok, I did a search first, and no luck. Anyone at Sheppard give me the dimensions of the dorms? If you have pictures of the dorm that would be nice. TMO told me they are going to keep most of my stuff here, and send only what I want access to (ie, can store in my room) to Sheppard. So I'm wanting to see if I have room for my entertainment center, and what else I might have room for. Thanks, BTW, I get to Sheppard 25Feb
  15. Wheaty......... I'm curious how you were diagnosed as alergic to Wheat? Do they do an alergy test after UPT? Did you have an alergic reaction? Just curious how this happened.
