I recommend the Tudor Black Bay GMT. It's about double what you want to spend, but it's what Rolex was before Rolex became impossible to obtain. It's an amazing watch from their sister brand, and IMO, it's worth the premium you'd pay.
  2. No worries! I’ll be standing by once that gets sorted.
  3. Is there even a process for this? I have some pretty significant sinus issues and am looking at taking a new medication that is not approved. I won’t even consider it if it forces a DQ, but if there is a process to get it approved, I’d be interested in knowing what it is. The FAA has approved it on a case by case basis, but I also realize that they are much more permissive in that regard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. First extension post separation from AD
  5. I emailed for an extension and got the typical active duty runaround and a “FINAL” (actual caps in the letter) extension of 6 months. Time to find a new justification to keep this extension train rolling.
  6. You do know that Chang was trolling the board when he wrote this. Right?
  7. I had to go back to my already approved separation and amend the separation date. I provided the supporting documentation for PC as additional attachments. All said, it was about 4 months from submission to tentative approval, and another month after that to make everything official. One thing to keep in your crosscheck as well is that the routing for coordination still goes through your previous management chain, so that can complicate the process.
  8. Weird. I managed to Palace Chase successfully after 7-day opting.
  9. https://www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilotStore/sep/1979 This adapter works great with my A20. Consider getting one of these too https://www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilotStore/sep/10492
  10. Thanks Dear Leader for reminding me that what is good for the Party is what's good for me
  11. Just goes to show that maybe droids aren't nearly as intersting or rewarding as those above the line people like to say they are as they're force-feeding the Kool Aid. If they were, you'd have those people with better than a single digit 90-day lookback. Of course, exceptions apply.
  12. I think there are enough qualifying statements in there that make it a 50/50 proposition at best. Just my gut feeling. Big Blue has a way of moving the finish line. I think the big change will be the crew/CAP ratio, as the AF has been using surge numbers to man its squadrons, which has precipitated the continuous burnout in the community. Eventually, quality of life will have to improve, and one tangible way of doing that is to up that ratio so people aren't having to sit in the box for 8 hours, 6 days a week while on mids. Also, I don't think that the AF has a clue how many of the 18X'ers will actually bail at the end of their commitment starting in late 2017 to early 2018. From the rumors I hear, almost all of them are as good as gone. That sets the stage for more pain down the road.
  13. Sweet. More locations to choose from when I (still) get out at the end of my commitment and get a contractor gig.
  14. That makes too much sense. Unfortunately, the AF cannot come to grips with the fact that it's quite possible to "fly" these things and be proficient, even if it's an additional duty.
  15. Nice Kool Aid enema. I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. I can't believe they are still trying to sell this as a good deal.
  16. There is a guy at LRF who is trying to set up a J-model buy.

Another brand to consider is Bremont. I don't know the exact pricing, but I have heard that they have some pretty decent deals for military orders. https://www.bremont.com

I rotate between the IWC Pilot chronograph on kevlar and a Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre 8100.
  19. Not to mention a few UPT-D captains as well

Anybody have any experience with this? I'm thinking about picking up one of these to swap out on my Noveske. Of course, there's the whole tax stamp thing as well, but this looks kind of cool. Noveske 10" .300 Blackout

I was looking for a nice entry level AR and came across a smoking deal for this. Completely busted the budget and far from entry level, but buy once, cry once. Can't wait to get some time to get out and shoot this beast. https://noveskerifleworks.com/cgi-bin/imcart/display.cgi?item_id=lcfsr-556&cat=103&page=1&search=&since=&status=

Can't speak for .44 special, but Wally World here in Vegas just lifted their daily ammo limit a couple of days ago. Walked out of there with 18 boxes of 9mm for $10/box. Granted, it's kind of a sad thing when one is happy to pay "only" $10/box for 9mm.
