Well I am up and heading to Brooks in a week. And my Det's Sgt still hasn't sent me any info on what I need to bring or what I can and can't do before leaving. Anyone have this website (?) handy? I have sent him multiple emails and gone in to remind him...nothing. When I try calling he is out of the office doing who knows what.
Good news is I have my itinerary...but thats it.

As a pilot, only two bad things can happen to you:
A. One day you will walk out to the aircraft knowing that it is your last flight.

We just had a CCT Capt in for some Q/A Thursday. I asked him about his opinion on the CSAR-X and he said his vote was for the -47...I don't care what I've read about any platform I'll take his word that the -47 is the best for the job out of the 3.

Back in Nam, I was an HC-130P pilot. We were the most badass bunch around. This one time, we strapped missiles to the wings of the plane and flew to Moscow to attack the commies. We could do this because we had the super-secret cloaking device and our engines ran on dark matter, so we didn't need to refuel. This one commie AAA gunner got luck and hit us, but we didn't give up. As the plane was going down in flames, we strapped parachutes to our Harleys and rode out the back. When we landed, I rode my hog, guns blazing, into Red Square and shoved a grenade up Brezhnev's ass myself. Those were the days.
I googled the key facts...it checks out. He's legit.

I'm no expert, but after watching the video it looks like the 2nd P-51 carried to much airspeed into the landing and just ran into the back of the first one.

I hereby invoke Occam's razor: the reason why we have woodland patterns on our uniforms is because America is primarily a woodland environment. If someone were to invade us stateside, desert BDU's would be pretty useless for 90% of the country, wouldn't it?

Modern/Future - Sukhoi is coming out with some interesting airplanes, the Su-47/S-37 (forward swept one) Berkut and Su-27SMK and Su-30MKK pictured
and honorable mention to the Su-34 for looking like a platapous IMO

Holy crap! That would rate about a 10 on the pucker factor. Looks like a Piper Arrow or maybe a Mooney, that could have been bad...
Here's about the only thing a HUD tape in a T-38C is good for...telling your boss you really no shit about hit another airplane when he said you were probably 500' away. -

Got a question...so right now I have a nice POS daily driver. It still has alot of life in it so I don't want to get rid of it. That being said I also will want to buy a new car (looking at the 09 Camaro) when it comes out. I don't wanna turn this into a save your money type of thread, just curious if its possible to own 2 vehicles...
Or say someone has a car they are working on...like an old 60's car...and then they have truck they tow it around with. Is that allowed? Or are you 100% limited to one vehicle on base?
