For those that don’t speak airline, that’s an extra $6-9k for working over the holidays.

That's what's great about the airlines. With enough seniority, you can do what you actually want.

And dump remainder of month's schedule? So on 4 days for the month? ..and maybe some reserve or no

Used to be you could 2 BPZ to Major. 2 BPZ to Major, 2 BPZ to LtCol, 2 BPZ to Col, fast burner trifecta back in the day.
That's been a hot minute, otherwise yup...
Now it'd take 2x #1 OOM from O-4 & 5 LAF-___ promo-boards to get ~2-3 BTZ equivalent to O-6. That's some crazy-stupid OPB/PRF strat soup required now to achieve both. Havent seen a mil bio boasting such yet

Hopefully AI and Deep Fake will get rid of Hollywood actors. Im tired of Leonardo DiCrapio and all of other "actors" that we're supposed to worship. No more political, life or environmental advice from shitty actors.
But will AI 'take a virtual knee' or make commercials on politics...itself!? Say for AI-rights, for AI itself, not right to utilize AI...interesting ethical ponderings

Anyone here ever use a LLC to buy a fractional share of an aircraft?
My plan is to sell my LLC 1/3 of my plane so the LLC can write it off the profits. Legal Guidance is pretty vague

Fractional ownership equals Fractional write-down/off under GAAP perhaps...? What do I know as am not a CPA/CFP.
Owner vs operator is a distinction, and a business strategy...get a tax attorney's or CPA's advice, otherwise KISS-principle. It's all about where the liability lies.

House Resolution 559 passed yesterday afternoon.
Remember when there was an attack on 9/11, a conflict in AFG and we were able to make Iraq part of the same operation and 20 years passed?
Remember when there was an attack on 10/7, a conflict in Israel and we were able to make Iran part of the same operation and 20 years passed?
If the process ain't broke, don't fix it.
Whereas international complacency toward Iran’s illicit nu- clear program threatens the global nonproliferation re- gime: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives declares it is the policy of the United States—
(1) that a nuclear Islamic Republic of Iran is not acceptable;
(2) that Iran must not be able to obtain a nuclear weapon under any circumstances or conditions;
(3) to use all means necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon; and
(4) to recognize and support the freedom of action of partners and allies, including Israel, to pre- vent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-resolution/559/

He also speaks to the West in general. “Hey West, I ask you, do you want to reignite the war between the crescent and the cross?”
Perhaps NATO can sub-in Ukraine for Turkey in a 1 for 1 swap.

Most of what you said was true, buuuuuuuut it's also wholly irrelevant. Since the vaccine doesn't stop transmission, it's not anyone's business whether or not you decide to take it. This is a free country, and that means people get to make decisions for themselves, both good and bad.
Think about your logic for 2 seconds dude. The vaccine was forced on all of us, and yet everyone got exposed anyway. Read that last part over and over until it sinks in.
And we hobbled our youngs' (i.e. the future, the warfighters) hearts under forced injections for the old with co-morbidities in society....great long term play, very cheap in the long term? healthier plan?! - no, More lethal effective fighting force - no, More control - yes, less freedom - no.
So, C19-vaxxers-at-large, was it worth the inoculation mandates? Was it right to subdue? To succumb to fear?
Whole thing was oppressive...

I remember a staff meeting on the third floor of the AFSOC/HQ, the then AFSOC/CC was openly bashing CAA and the 6th SOS. I am paraphrasing but he kept saying "tell me one time when this program got me access to a country".
...aaahhh, so its not about *their* capacity but ours! And our access through..so proxies.
B̶y̶, w̶i̶t̶h̶, through, through, through!
To be fair, the present ongoing war is through.

Pretty sure DTS is an approved method, and specified as such. The Per Diem Committee gets to set these policies and gets the final $ say.

A normal set of orders is usually 36 months, and extending a year can be common. My between-the-lines interpretation is that this rule ensures a pilot doesn’t go career enhancing and decide to never go back to flying, or an aviation related billet, while being able to collect flight pay forever.
For example some joint non-rated-required joint staff tours or OCONUS non-flying accompanied = 36m
Or some controlled teaching tours are 24, 36, or 48 months...
Or some education programs (i.e. Masters/PhD) could be 24-36m or longer
Or like how the AU Fellowships for IDE/SDE used to be 2+1y =36m (but those were exempted as PME, but did change ones ASC at the HARM...however if you extended in-place too long after PME and your ASC chang(es/ed)....!!!)
....its all tabulated monthly as rated payback and reported to Congress eventually as utilizing rated forces, AND FUNDING, effectively
There is always a 'pumpkin' timer!!..even a personal one, especially noticeable lately in people around ~17 YaS/TAFMSD, those salty, grumpy people...Caveat Emptor!

Not exactly related to the bonus, but to flight pay...my counterpart here in the office got an email from the local HARM shop that aviators in "Career Enhancing Assignments" (basically, any non-flying job that isn't coded specifically for a rated officer) would have flight pay terminated after 48 months, regardless of how many gate months you had. The guy referenced AFMAN 11-421 and said it over-rode AFMAN 11-402.
This seems counter to the entire idea of meeting gate months to get continuous flight pay.
Anyone else heard about this?
Seen it, checks. The CEA pumpkin timer! Don't go enhancing yourself for more than 48 months at the expense of a thinner pocketbook.
