  1. Several of us asking the same question. Will let you know if I hear anything.
  2. I have also heard it is just subject to whatever tax bracket it puts you in at the end of the year. Not sure what the real answer is.
  3. Just got approved for FY15 VSP. Who should I talk to about getting a DOS extension beyond 31 Dec?
  4. FY15 VSP approved! 2008 11R JSTARS 5 years UPT ADSC waived FY14 VSP denied Submitted FY15 app within a few days of window opening. Pressed submit while wearing my lucky underwear, maybe that helped! Anybody know how to request the DOS extension some of the FY14 folks got? Thanks! Best of luck to those who haven't heard!
  5. Yes, it is based on RDTM, and thus, on airframe. All of the 11R overage could be in one airframe, we don't know. But isn't it great how they don't tell you that, and make you show your cards even if there is no chance at all for approval? I kind of just hoped that in FY14 they just didn't get around to approving 07 and 08 11Rs or they wanted to push it to the next FY. Who knows? It's all smoke and mirrors at AFPC.
  6. I'm an 11R, with 5 years left on my ADSC. I was denied for VSP in FY14, we'll see about FY15. Just wondering what my prospects are for PC if I don't get VSP. Assuming I will need to wait until 2/3 of my ADSC are done, right? My base is the only one with my airframe (JSTARS). How often are guard/reserve units willing to retrain to a new airframe? Thanks.
  7. Does anybody know what holidays you get off at SOS? Specifically asking about Labor Day. I looked on their website, no luck.
  8. 11R 2008 - Disapproved for VSP due to AFSC/year group being full.
  9. How long do you have? That's how long it takes. Often more.
  10. At this point, AFPC hasn't given us a reason to believe anything they say.
  11. Anybody have trouble accessing AFPC secure apps and vMPF on Moralenet at their "disclosed" location? It worked fine at home, but I haven't been able to get the page to load since I've been out here. Portal and webmail work fine. 11R, 2008, ADSC (obviously), still at BPO/Voluntary Sep Office
  12. I've heard VSP/RIF approved folks will not be able to sell back leave. Anybody heard the final word on this? Assuming they let anyone go...
  13. I'm sure we're all having to write our own RRFs, but just so you know, the reg governing RRFs specifically says we are not supposed to write our own. PM me if you want me to find it for you, I can look it up on Tuesday.
  14. I did my VSP on Firefox with a CAC reader at home (on Linux, for that matter!). I think I had more issues with the vMPF Separations app on IE at work. It's a finicky site, either way. The new Portal also has issues. Mine is also at BPO. I also had the wrong core ID (11K), and had my functional change it. AFPC said it could take up to 48 hours for the change to show up in vMPF, and they said go ahead and submit it with a note saying it had been changed. I did, and included a copy of their email. Hope it goes through! Still preparing myself to be let down, but I am starting to feel optimistic...
  15. Does this seem to be a server problem? There have been a lot of issues with the Separations part of the vMPF. When I had issues, just hitting refresh a few times eventually worked, or else logging out, closing all the windows, and reopening the site. For letters to the board, check PSDM 13-130. Pretty sure it even has the address to send it to.
  16. Someone speculated that the "overage" in 11Rs was actually mostly MC-12 guys. Thoughts?
  17. Anybody know the official word on whether they will pay separation pay if you write a Do Not Retain Me letter to the RIF board?
  18. VSP = pay back Tuition Assistance? Anybody know? 13-130 seems to say no, but could be talking about RIF only. 14-08 doesn't mention it.
  19. It would appear this might be correct. Upon closer reading of 13-130 there's this: I think we all just assumed 14-08 applied to RIF eligible, but maybe not? Also, 13-130 says: But it is not clear if it is only talking about involuntary separation or either one. Has anyone heard a clear answer? I'm specifically wondering about TA.
  20. Just to confirm, that note 4 was on 13-65 before? I wasn't even aware "Limited ADSC waivers" applied to the VSP program, since it was never mentioned in either 13-130 or 14-08 (until now).
  21. From the new 13-65: "ADSCs for Developmental Education... Undergraduate Pilot Training, and Advanced Pilot Training are not being waived." (note 4 on page 10) We should have known it was too good to be true.
